GA shows. tickets were very easy to get.
getting to the front was pretty easy also.
Posters. I got mine after the show.
awesome!!!!
Great shows.
Unfortunately did not get a poster.Hold On0 -
YES!
Yield was a triumphant return for the band (no one liked No Code, at the time)
Great artwork on the singles.
A full tour with readily available tickets.
No one cared about getting a poster, and there was that bad-ass cover-art poster at the shows for $5!
The tour shirts were full-sized.
The band was "on," especially Mike. I wish there were some more bootlegs available from '98.96 - Toledo

I slept outside for tix to Vancouver. Got second row centre.
During Alive, Eddie walked out into the audience. I had my arm around him for a 20 seconds and was singing the chorus into his microphone. I would kill for a picture but, alas, this was before everyone had digital cameras in the audience. I got the red and black soccer jersey, but no poster (I've just about given up on every getting one).
98 was a great year to be a PJ fan, but who is to say which was the best ...My Pearl Jam concert footage:

1998 was the best year. My first PJ show. They were at their best in Pittsburgh.0

You could at least call that a TOUR!!!
First PJ show for me; Montreal! And they played "Hard to Imagine"!!!! It was the perfect first show ever. They were tight, amazing sound and great energy. Of course, I will always remember that show. But they can still pull it out. Ottawa 2005 was unbelievable too!!!
1998 was a great year for the band, that's for sure. They were back in "the media". But every year's been great, really. I wouldn't narrow everything about PJ in just one year! You're not what you own - Ian MacKaye, Fugazi
98 - Montreal
00 - Montreal
03 - Toronto, Montreal
04 - Boston (Show #1)
05 - Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto
06 - Toronto (Show #1)
09 - Toronto, Philly (Show #3-4)
10 - Cleveland
11 - Montreal, Toronto (x2), Ottawa
13 - London (ON), Philly (x2)
16 - QC - Ottawa0 -

1998 Camden was great. Not only did we get to see PJ, we saw Mudhoney and Iggy Pop. SWEET show.0

The best tour to be a fan has to be the ten tour. Get to see them in these small clubs every night must have been magical.
98 was an exciting tour though. Eddie and Mike were in great form amd Matts drumming was tight. I believe the band has never played better than they did in the 1994 spring tour though.I will swallow poison0 -

I will agree whole heartedly about this point!
I'm one that benefits from seniority well enough, but the 98 system was the FAIREST, without hours of wasted frustration for the masses.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

'98 was good. My second show (first in 93 on the Neil tour), so my first full blown PJ show. Knew about the fan club for years, but never joined and didn't know about tickets through the club. Got in line to buy tickets for the Portland show Saturday morning around 6:00. Was third in-line and still got row 22. Met some great guys in line who informed me about the fan club and they were using their ONE ticket request for a Seattle show since it was easy to buy your local show then. I joined the 10C shortly after.
Show was amazing. Went to buy a t-shirt and saw this cool looking poster hanging there and bought it (although maybe that was a bad thing since it started me down the poster collecting path).0 -
I remember going to Tower records in Philly for the midnight sale of YIELD
The tour was great as well I went to the Camden Shows,MSG and Constitution Hall
I'm pretty sure it was the band's first return to the Philly area in like 6 years
9/11/98 Show at MSG Eddie flung the mic cord over a set of lights on stage and started climbing the mic cord about half way up during ALIVE
I remember someone brought a HUGE Yield sign to the Constitution Hall show and Eddie signed it for him
Definitely was one of the best years for PJ and us fansMy drinking team has a hockey problem

So that means you think that Binural, Riot Act or Avacodo are better than Yield, No Code, Vitalogy, Vs. and Ten.... uh... NOGo Get 'Em Tigers!0 -
98 was when I finally got my ass to a show. My parents finally stepped up and helped me get there. My dad picked me up at school. Four hours away from the show. Took me to mom’s and she took me the rest of the way.
And yes. Yield is my favorite album. So it was sweet I got to see a show from that tour. ...and it was my first.
great profile pics pjbugs007 and YoullseeDragons!*~Pearl Jam will be blasted from speakers until morale improves~*0 -

really? saw my first 3 shows on that tour so it will always be memorable but i think the band lost a lot of momentum after roskilde. the euro shows were mostly killer but the us shows seemed a little lackluster....outside of a few choice gems.
i did love the guitar tones on that tour, especially stone's. he should start playing the electric on black again......crazy mary too.i have a paper here that entitles me to fast track status0 -
'98 Dallas is also my favorite poster from a show i was at. it's the only one i had to go the ebay route for too. This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0
