if i may also make a poster request: dunno how others feel about it, but i know that i would much appreciate ONe poster to cover a multiple night stand in 1 city. i don't need 2 prints available, with just a color shift, etc. yea...i know i don't have to buy it.....but i LIKE to have posters from ALL my shows, so if they are offered, i buy. given the tight economy, and really...i'd feel the same no matter what....but with the costs of tix, plus a poster......1 poster for all 3 nights would be awesome!

I have to say that a few years ago I would've agreed, but last time they were in Camden, they did the color shift thing on a smallish poster. I went both nights, bought both posters thinking I was going to just store one, and ended up making this really cool framed piece with both posters, both sets of tix, and the McCready pick I got that night. Made a great souvenir of 2 amazing nights of Pearl Jam.

That said, if the poster is the normal full-size dealie, I'd agree - color shifting is kinda lame, and me being compulsive about posters, I'd still end up blowing $50 (or $75 with the rumored 3rd show) to get all 2 or 3 variations.

I will also be trying for a poster for the first time in SD. Do all the vendors sell the sought after posters or do you have to go to a specific one to get them?

I'd like a poster, but half the time I don;t bother because it means waiting around forever to get a wristband, etc. I think they did this at MSG last year and I said "screw it". I ended up paying out the ass for them on ebay instead. No wristbands, please...

10c should just allow you to buy a poster when you buy your tickets. So fan club members get their posters without having the hassle at the show.

    that would be ideal!
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

+1. Would love if they could do a poster pre-sale, where we can have the opportunity to buy a wristband. Then we get to the show, and inside our envelopes would be our tickets and our wristbands, to be exchanged for posters later!

last tour...it was a beautiful thing...purchase poster at beginning of show, get writband.....end of show swap wristband for mint print.....
it was great and would be even better for Europe since the shows have GA standing.

Only 1 potential problem: the queue to pick up the posters.
In Europe most people don't drive to the venues (because they don't have car/there's no parking space/it's horrendously expensive to park) and are dependant on public transport for the journey home.. which shuts down not very long after the shows finished depending where you need to travel to.. so hanging around for 1/2 hour after to get your poster (and it could take that long last year) might leave you stranded on the way home (I almost got stranded in Milan and did in Prague and was only about that late leaving).

But on the other hand, they generally have far less posters in Europe because people don't give a shit as much about them, so shouldn't be too long queues.

Either way, as a GA ticket holder, it's either wristband or no poster unless there's some left after the show..no point in paying €20 for a crumbled and wet piece of paper.

    thanks for your fast reply!!
okay... that sounds like a lot of action BEFORE the show... so i might have a chance at the berlin show, but i guess i wont be at the venue in manchester before like 4 o clock....
i really don't understand that... i think having the poster with you is going to suck, why don't they just sell those wristbands? that sounds quite... clever...?? i just imagine myself in this huge crowd, taking care of the poster... doesnt sound like a lot of fun...:cry::cry:
can't wait for the shows though...:lol:
waht D2D said, no problem in Europe.. the people there line up early for a spot on the barrier, the posters are a second though once you're settled. In the sates people line up early purely for the posters, and they care about it far more than we do.. in Katowice for example, I could have bought one after the show.

On the other hand, I would not bet on the security in Europe letting you take a poster tube. most likely they won't so if you try, make sure it's a cheap one you're happy just throwing away.

I noticed last year seemed Klausen had much larger runs than Ames, they didn't sell out nearly as fast (despite that normally Klausens are much more valued)..hell they still had some Camden 1 ones at Camden 2!
I'm certainly not complaining about that, I don't give a shit it's rare, I just want ones i like the look of. (though I got some spares, mostly because I don't have enough space to hang them all)

we'll hear that kind of info through Ames and Klausen sites probably soon.
Unless they use other people for a change! (but Ames being Jeff's brother that's unfortunately unlikely :()
