    So what happens if i'm staying a bit away but only a long walk to get to Beale street? I got $70 bucks per night at a nice hotel. It's the Crown Plaza. Anyone else staying over there? Sounds like I'll be paying about half of the other rooms, which I'm fine with.

    I called to try and book our room at the Westin on Beale, but they could not find the Group rate for 10 club :(
    The lowest rate they would give me was $178! Maybe I will try and call the hotel direct instead of the 800 number. Hopefully that will work.

    I just called the 800# & it took them a few minutes to find the block. But, the lady I talked with said that we had no rooms left in the block. I WOULD try the hotel directly just in case she was wrong. I did call my contact @ the Westin & left her a voice mail. I will try to call again this evening & see if there isn't anything I can do about adding rooms.

    So, if anyone did not get in on this rate please post & let me know & what nights you are wanting. This way I could possibly give them an estimate of exactly how many more rooms we will need.

    Crown Plaza is definitely a "long walk" to Beale. Your best bet will be to walk from hotel to Main Street and take the trolley all the way down to Beale. It's a little more than 1/2 mile or about 12 blocks from Crown Plaza to Beale. A safe walk during the day not so much at night.

    So yeah I just called and they said no Ten Club Rooms available in the room block, so let me know what you find out

    if you held 30 rooms and the night of the 20th is full that means people who did not RSVP in this thread made reservations


    however the guy told me that hotel is sold out for that night.... possibly :x

    You might go ahead & try the Westin's Memphis number 1-901-334-5900. The lady I spoke with earlier may have been misinformed.

    I'm sorry that folks that RSVP'd didn't get in on this rate. I over shot each night w/ extra rooms for the lurkers that don't post.

    Okay, so something is definantly up. I called 901-334-5900 at 9:15 central & was told that there was nothing available in the block. hmmmmmmm

    As of right now, we are needing 1 room for the 19th & 2 for the 20th. Atpeacewithmylust & KDH12, as soon as I find something out I'll pm you.

    Does anyone else need rooms? Please let me know ASAP.

    Yeah let me know, I just got off the phone with them again and the people that work there are confusing and confused...

    however he did say to talk to you and since the deadline was not up that you might be able to squeeze a room in..... whatever that means, however he said it looked like the hotel was full capacity that night.... so how some just booked is beyond me :?

    He also suggested that others might have reserved rooms for other people which may make rooms available in the end...
