We're staying at the Comfort Inn downtown and I think it only ended up being around $100 a night (maybe even a bit less). I booked flight and hotel together, so not sure on the exact rate but it's a 3 star. I don't plan on hanging in the room all that much.

Depends on if you plan to spend a few days there. Downtown is a good place to be. We'll only be a few miles from Mag. Mile.

There are no deals on parking in the city...they no longer want people driving down there...Congress hotel is a roach motel.

Hows the Crowne Plaza- on Maddison just a bit over a mile- I booked it cause they have balconies and its so close- can maybe barhop walk to venue? Streetview on google looks kind of industrial? parking was alot cheaper than downtown hotels has nice bar on site

How do you make sure you get the hyatt on priceline. You don't know what hotel you are getting until after you bid....and then the hotel could be too far away. any help? HOw would I go about doing this?

Good choice...closer to show, but if I had a choice, I would stay more in the downtown...Crowne doesn't offer much as far as walking around during non show hours.

Thanks for the Priceline suggestion. I just booked the Hyatt Regency also for $60 dollars a night for Sunday and Monday.

I googled parking for Hyatt and found something called Millennium Garage. Haven't had a chance to map it out but it sounds close to the Hyatt for half the bones. $23 for 24 hours

I've been holding off booking at the hyatt b/c of how much parking costs. I know parking is crazy expensive everywhere in downtown but $48 per night seems a little too steep. Gotta checked with everyone I am going with before booking anything. Granted there is 4 of us going so it would only be $12/person per night.

Im in, confirmed for two nights. $60 is a steal....taking the South Shore in, so parking wasn't a prob.

Anyone know the best place to stay?

The Congress Plaza Hotel offers a group rate for 15 rooms or more. We could do that easy...

The hotel is right on Michigan Ave by the park.

I wouldn't recommend any of my friends to stay at The Congress and I highly recommend you don't stay here unless you absolutely have to. What I would recommend is looking for hotels around O'Hare - they are much cheaper than downtown hotels and you can take the blue line all the way into the city. Check for hotels in Rosemont - they're all very nice and affordable.
