the airport?! that's going to be a major hassle. did you specifically choose the airport region when you made your Priceline offer? To quote the 10C from Newsletter #8: "Please understand we have a lot of members and it is very hard to please everybody. If you are one of those unhappy people...please call 1-900-IDN-TCAR."

There may be public transportation, but it certainly isn't anything that is regular or that is all that great. In fact, one of the bad things about Toronto in general is the lack of good public transportation form the airport to our downtown core.1996: Toronto 1998: Barrie 2000: Saratoga Springs 2003: Buffalo, Toronto 2005: Kitchener, London, Hamilton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto 2006: Toronto x2, Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Gorge #1 2007: London, Dusseldorf, Vic, Lolla 2008: WPB, Tampa, DC, MSG x2, Hartford, Boston x2, Beacon 2009: Toronto, Chicago x2, Seattle x2, LA #3&4, San Diego, Philly x4 2010: Cleveland, Buffalo, Hartford 2011: Montreal, Toronto x2, Hamilton 2012: Missoula 2013: London, Wrigley, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Hartford, Dallas, OKC0 -

Didn't read the reviews but that's where my bid landed me as well.

Yes! Priceline is awesome! BeerBaron introduced me to Priceline and betterbidding.com last year and it was a life saver! Thanks again! It's coming in handy again this year with a trip out west in July.
My friend and I are only about 45 minutes east of Toronto and usually drive home after concerts, but I'm debating getting a room. I suppose it all comes down to whether or not my friend feels comfortable leaving baby home alone with daddy overnight.0 -
Muddy got the Westin too ...
but paid a lil' more then $55.00
see ya there===

You can park across the street in the underground city hall garage. It connects to the hotel under the road. Rates are $2/hr with a max of $25 M-F and max of $6 Sat. and Sun. I think this is the link: http://www.greenp.com/tpa/parkinglocato ... _OPTION=11
It's a nice hotel - I've stayed there a few times and always enjoyed it.0 -
Hello,
I would like to thank everyone who has posted information on this thread. I just booked Priceline - Westin for $60 and would never have figured all this out without all of your help.
I am relatively new to Pearl Jam and the Ten Club but have quickly become addicted to both. And as I read all the threads complaining about ticket prices, Ten Club policies et cetera I get frustrated.
My experiences with the Club have all been incredibly positive and the message we all should be helping convey is one of help and support - The Club exists for that reason and in this fat old bald persons opinion they do a fantastic job.
So thanks to the Club for providing a forum for me to learn more about the band and travel/tour secrets and thanks to all you helpful members!!!
I hope I cross paths with all of you in Toronto.
Thank you again.

There are some mushrooms to be found under all this shit
This place is great for networking, planning, saving cash at tour time...
I, for some reason, thought you couldn't use priceline with a Canadian credit card (did it used to be that way?)...I probably wouldn't have tried if not for this thread, so thanks everyone0 -

Thanks for the priceline suggestion. We are coming from Albany ny and were gonna pay 150 a night! Instead we are paying 63 a night for the Marriot Bloor Yorkville. If anyone knows the best way to get around especially to the molson without driving that would be greatly appreciated! thanks0

downtown toronto is very walkable but if you don't feel like it - the transit system is great ... another option for the more active is to bike ... city is essentially a grid so if you can read a map - it's fairly easy to get around as well ...
where you are staying is a hub station for our subway line so you can get to a lot of places relatively quick ... two options for you to get to the amphitheatre is subway south to unio - take LRT to exhibition place or take suway west to bathurst and take streetcar to exhibition ...
for those who are arriving early and have the day free - remember the CNE opens that day and that your concert ticket should get you into it as well as Ontario Place (tourist attraction) ... spend the day going on rides and doing fair type stuff and then go see PJ ... bring comfortable walking shoes tho ...0
