I got rejected at 55! - I did start last week at 25, and worked my way up... did get the harbour castle westin for 58 though which i am still very very happy about! My wife and i are staying three nights for the same price as a one night basically!

Regarding the Sheraton Centre - that is a nice hotel. when we meet my wifes parents in Toronto, when here dad and i go see the leafs/pens games, we stay there and i have never been disapointed, plus i met Gordan Lightfoot there too, which was pretty cool.

downtown toronto is very walkable but if you don't feel like it - the transit system is great ... another option for the more active is to bike ... city is essentially a grid so if you can read a map - it's fairly easy to get around as well ...

where you are staying is a hub station for our subway line so you can get to a lot of places relatively quick ... two options for you to get to the amphitheatre is subway south to unio - take LRT to exhibition place or take suway west to bathurst and take streetcar to exhibition ...

for those who are arriving early and have the day free - remember the CNE opens that day and that your concert ticket should get you into it as well as Ontario Place (tourist attraction) ... spend the day going on rides and doing fair type stuff and then go see PJ ... bring comfortable walking shoes tho ...[/quote]

Thanks for the info this board has made my trip 100 times easier! see ya in Toronto

  • i'm staying at the Novotel on The Esplanade...right off of Yonge St. I'd prefer to use public transportation to the show or to the pre-party at Brazen Head and then maybe catch a cab or public trans back to the hotel after the show. It looks like you can walk to the show from the Brazen Head.

I had been planning ond driving down to the show (not very far from hotel), but since I've been reading here about this CNE event happening I'm starting to think that driving would not be advisable.

Any locals want to help a guy out with some advice on travelling from my hotel to the pre-party and show?
No time to be void, or save up on life...you gotta spend it all.

Just got back home and just wanted to say that the $55 deal on the Westin was a hell of a deal. The hotel was very nice. We upgraded to a water view for an extra $30/night. The view was beautiful.Even with the extra $30 and the $40/night parking I think the total was still under $250 for two nights. Hard to beat it!
