    The only caution I have for people using Priceline is this: If you are travelling in a group of > 2 people all wanting to share ONE room, you could run in to trouble. If the hotel is busy the day you have booked, you may arrive there to be told that all that is available is a room with a King bed and 3-4 people will have to figure out a way to share one king bed. I have run in to that problem in the past, but generally it is not an issue.

    Only real downside is that you pre-pay, so you can't cancel.

    That is the one thing holding me back from using priceline...im going with 3 other people so i really need to get 2 beds...ive used it before for the hartford 08 show and it worked great but thier was only 2 of us...i dont know what to do.

    Get a hotel downtown. You could get a streetcar to the molson ampetheatre, but take my advice and walk. Its really not that far, and it should be a beautifull summers eve. You can walk down to Queen's Quey, and walk along the lake, or walk along King or Queen and then south on Strachan. Any abled bodied person can do it, 30 to 40 minutes(20-25 minutes if your a speed walker like me).

    And after the show, trafic and transit is going to be a huge clusterfuck being the first day of the CNE and all. After the show, walk up to Queen or King, and hit one of the bars, The Horseshoe is where ill be going.

    Is the curfew extended down there because of the CNE? Im thinking that it is?
    This sidewalk is for regular walking, not for fancy walking!

    I actually tried $47 (someone got a 4* for that price a few weeks ago in Downtown TO), but not luck.

    For the record I put in 3.5 stars and $50 per night. I love priceline :D

    Thanks for all the info..I've never heard of Priceline.com until I read all of your posts here--I managed to score $55 hotel room at the Toronto Harbour Castle...looks amazing. See some of you there!!

    These great deals are making me think that I should just stay downtown after the show instead of going back home :)

    FYI--I put in $55 for three nights and got rejected for a four star hotel downtown. I then put in for $70 per night and got this place: Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. The reviews seem hit or miss. Anyone have any thoughts on this joint?

    I read some of the reviews on it... I thought it looked about 90% positive. It's so hard to tell. some people just like to complain (have you read the msg boards lately), and some people are happy no matter what. If you toss out the top 5 and bottom 5 reviews as a filter, I think it looks like a pretty good place.

    I just put in 4-stars at 50 bucks a night for two nights and got the airport Sheraton. The hotel said it is about 20 minutes from the amphitheater, but there is public transportation.
