Dunno about the weather where y'all are, but in the NY area, it's a great day to drive around to Sky Blue Sky.

Nice. I can imagine "Walken" and "Impossible Germany" would be great sunny day driving songs. :D

I'm curious about this... I haven't bought it, but I had to really restrain myself to save the $. What's the tracklist? How does it stack up to 'I am Trying to Break Your Heart' (my fav music dvd of all time)?

Damn, that's some memory you've got there! Looks like a helluva set... I may have to suck it up and spring for this.

On a related note, has anyone listened to the Mermaid albums with Billy Brag? I've been curious about them for a while now.

i just watched it for the 1st time yesterday & it was quite good....it's a live dvd, so it's not quite the "doc style" of their last dvd, but it's well worth the $.

Mermaid Avenue albums are definitely worth checking out. Not a big Billy Bragg fan, but the Wilco material is solid. Some tunes (California Stars, Airline To Heaven) are pretty regular in their sets and others get rotated in every so often.

I saw Wilco in Oxford, MS last Thursday. It was amazing. Jeff got onto the crowd for an over abundance of text messaging and talking while they were playing. Leave it to the prick-filled town of Oxford. The show was awesome. The band played several songs from the AM album. :D I definitely will go to several Wilco concerts in the future.

So i just got around to downloading the audio of the Ashes of American Flag & the bonus DC show at the 930 club.

Man the sound quality of that 930 show is awesome. I used to telll folks to check out kicking television when they were trying to get into the band, but now i'm just going to give them that DC show.

Great bonus feature for those who got the dvd on record store day!

I've used an old copy for months if not a year, and it warns me that it's not free, blah blah, and I just hit "close" and it works fine. I'm assuming many others do the exact same thing.

    Wilco (The Album)
    first song- "The Wilco Song"

    :D

I think i got an erection after reading this :? :D
the nearly-six-minute jam “Bull Black Nova” starts with rollicking drums, stacatto keys and guitars before exploding into a killer solo from guitarist Nels Cline. Think of the it as a sonic follow-up to the kraut-rockin’ “Spiders (Kidsmoke).” “That one’s a really intense, powerful song,” says Kotche of “Nova.” “It’s got a static groove that’s really insistent. There’s a lot of great guitar moments on that song.”

I think I'm as eager to here this new album as I am with PJ's and that's saying something.
