i bet you're restlesssoul now more than ever!? :D

whereabouts is the Centre located relative to the downtown core and other parts of the city? are there reasonable hotel options in the area? is there a rapid transit option to get into the city from the airport OR what is the flat rate from the airport into the city (just how far is the airport)? just on my way out for dinner so i thought i'd ask before checking later on this evening, but figured you're the man/woman to ask 1st :)

any and all helpful info is of course appreciated.

I'm not him/her but figured I'd answer you! The Center for Performing Arts is on Homer street, its pretty much right down town. You can find some decent hotel rates around as its not quite high season but of course the further away from downtown the cheaper. Theres a couple reasonable out by the airport. No rapid transit to airport yet, not til 2009. Taxi about $25-$30 about 20 minutes, theres an airporter bus about $12 and regular transit is $3.50? I think, takes 2 busses and about 40 minutes.

so you're moving out of florida? good for you! FL is not my favorite state and I'm a native.

Hey! How are you? Long time no talk ...
I too hope I was going but since I will be in Seattle i pictured it would be better to drive to Vancouver and save the money in case they play some other shows later this year and I have to travel...

Good luck with the tickets!! :)
  • just for the record i think that a Seattle show will be added for April 1st :P

and the extra days in between Vancouver and Santa Cruz are so they can add another Vancouver date on the 3rd if the demand is high enough.

I hope not because I'm seing Blind Melon on April 1st in Seattle and that would suck monkey balls if I had to chose!

    if only I could :(

Travis is really good, and to me is a totally different band you know? they still sing the same tunes Shannon used to but they have a new album and Travis is a great vocalist... if I had to chose in between seeing BM on Tuesday and EV on Wednesday or seen EV twice then I would chose the latter, now if I didnt get tix for Vancouver and Seattle was my only hope I'd scratch BM, I'm seeing them on March 8th in Orlando anyways :D

Well I think its a matter of opinions... I respect the fact that they have the right to keep the name of the band they were part of and that they worked hard at before Shannon's passing... Blind Melon with Shannon is one thing, Blind Melon with Travis is a TOTALLY different thing... I still love them though they are still making good music... just not like that music they made with Shannon...:(
