Stone or Ed, Stone is a great musician who writes absolutely amazing music. But Ed really blows me away with his song writing and guitar playing, I think Ed does not get enough credit for how good a guitar player he really is.

Well, let's put it this way. If PJ broke up and they all did their own thing, who do you think would have the most successful career? Exactly.

That said, I've always thought Stone writes the best riffs, hooks and songs in general. Ed however is the reason Pearl Jam is who they are. Anyone that's ever tried to put a band together knows how hard it is to find a great singer. Most talented person in PJ by a landslide is EV, no question.

I agree with that. I was blown away by how technically good of a guitarist he was when I saw his solo shows. He really gets overpowered by the equally amazing talents of Mike and Stone on stage. Stone seems to be the popular choice on the board (at least right now) but I've really got to give it up for Matt. He's got mad skills. Plus, I love Eddie's little man crush on him - you know he's got to be good.

I gotta go w/Ed. Maybe not the most technically proficient musician in the band but the dude's got soul. Add to that an amazing baritone, chops as a lyricist, and the balls to try to make the ukulele cool and there you have it.
I smile, but who am I kidding...

Stone by a million miles. He writes all the great riffs and unique songs.
Mike is definitely the best live performer of the band.
