sweet. I'm hoping there is a Dallas date and Houston date as well. It seems like a good possability anyway. I think someone posted an interview where Ed said they were gonna tour and then Jeff confirmed that in the last Deep issue, so I'm hoping it actually happens.

I think this is a better question: Are the time restrictions pretty tight like Lolla or more loose like Roo? If there is any wiggle room, they will play beyond 2 hours.

Any chance they make it east of the Mississippi on this fall tour? Perhaps another October Alpine date?

you make a great point. At Lolla I think they have to follow the rules since it's inside city limits- just like ACL. At Roo is private land and they can play as long as they want to

ACL and Lolla are run by the same comapny. I bet the rules are pretty much the same. My guess is PJ would get the Saturday night slot and get at least 2 hours, about the same as Lollapalooza 2007, which was a great show.

If they play other Texas dates, my travel this year will probably stick to Texas dates, although a goal of mine is to see them on the West Coast somewhere.

I passed on Lolla b/c I thought it would be too constrictive (length of show) and a big cluster F***. After listening to the boot a half dozen times, I don't really regret not going to Lolla. I rolled the dice on the Roo and it paid off. I think the Roo was the festival to see PJ at. I don't think ACL is worth going to see PJ solely. However, if you are looking to check out other bands, it should be a good time.

yeah, I agree. I'm glad I didn't pay the money to go to Lolla, but after seeing them kick so much ass last year at Roo, I don't see how it's possible for them to go back to another festival and play just the hits

Are you ou on Spring Break? You are pretty active this morning.

But I could see them playing the hits at ACL. I think Roo was the exception, not the rule.

It was still fun though and not really a cluster fuck. Getting around Chicago was pretty easy. Plus I got into the Vic so Lollas was just icing on the cake.

ACL will be worth going to for me because Austin is a great city and PJ never plays Texas anymore. So any chance to see them within 300 miles of Dallas and I am there.

I was more speaking of Lolla itself, not Chicago. It seems to be too crowded.

austin, texas in early october, good news for texans! i would think perhaps other southern/west coast shows surrounding it....and would LOVE if this translated into a couple of northeast shows in november or december! the timing couldn't be any more perfect! only have to keep my fingers crossed that tix either go on sale early - as in before august - or after september 15th. unless they are REALLY nice and hold the ticket sales on weekends when 10clubbers can actually manage it better. i usually call in sick to try for tix  ...i have computer access all day at work but i have zero control of my workload or when it comes, sooo it's too risky to try at work.

i was reading in some other thread someone's personal hypothesis of shows, and part of it was suggesting oz in november or december of 2010. again, i would LOVE that! 8-) i keep saying how much i want to see pj in oz, and i DO...and was thinking if they head there in january or february 2010 that we'd go, but i just don't think it's feasible. late 2010 i think i could swing it, or january 2011! :P haha.

anyhoooooooo...i just so love the swirls of tour rumors!
    Stay with me...

Of course... the real question is... if they are touring in late Sept/Oct in the US, when does that get announced.

If its announced soon they are playing ACL, then I'm wondering how long between that announcement and the rest of a tour.

When does the ACL lineup officially get announced normally?
