"Last year’s Bonnaroo headliner Pearl Jam is one of the highest-paid festival acts, which could trickle down to consumers."
Wonder what kind of pay day the band gets? Doesn't make them sound like the same guys who battled TM to keep tickets and fees low for the fans. Could be pure conjecture by the author I suppose...<!-- Facebook Fan Badge START --><div style="width: 100%;"><div style="background: #3B5998;padding: 5px;"><img src="http://www.facebook.com/images/fb_logo_small.png" alt="Facebook"/><img src="http://badge.facebook.com/badge/147713062953.614141056.2133926001.png" alt="" width="0" height="0"/></div><div style="background: #EDEFF4;display: block;border-right: 1px solid #D8DFEA;border-bottom: 1px solid #D8DFEA;border-left: 1px solid #D8DFEA;margin: 0px;padding: 0px 0px 5px 0px;"><div style="background: #EDEFF4;display: block;padding: 5px;"><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"><tr><td valign="top"><img src="http://www.facebook.com/images/icons/fbpage.gif" alt=""/></td><td valign="top"><p style="color: #808080;font-family: verdana;font-size: 11px;margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px;padding: 0px 8px 0px 8px;"><a href="http://www.facebook.com/donny.anderson3" title="Donny Anderson" target="_TOP" style="color: #3B5998;font-family: verdana;font-size: 11px;font-weight: normal;margin: 0px;padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;text-decoration: none;">Donny Anderson</a> is a fan of</p></td></tr></table></div><div style="background: #FFFFFF;clear: both;display: block;margin: 0px;overflow: hidden;padding: 5px;"><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"><tr><td valign="middle"><a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Seattle-WA/All-Thats-Sacred/147713062953" title="All That's Sacred" target="_TOP" style="border: 0px;color: #3B5998;font-family: verdana;font-size: 12px;font-weight: bold;margin: 0px;padding: 0px;text-decoration: none;"><img src="http://www.facebook.com/profile/pic.php?oid=AAAAAwAgACAAAAAMe57NWURaItSTAkndkF9yqc7YLeudXUlRbmI8Zlgt-969scmCqdU_G75K8TUPm74XnrGy4aB9ajQkobWBvlZyhgM-q2b4ag6Rsz_-7m8GsQaFt3vc_HiYJNPN_5g-HvB-&size=square" style="border: 0px;margin: 0px;padding: 0px;" alt="All That's Sacred"/></a></td><td valign="middle" style="padding: 0px 8px 0px 8px;"><a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Seattle-WA/All-Thats-Sacred/147713062953" title="All That's Sacred" target="_TOP" style="border: 0px;color: #3B5998;font-family: verdana;font-size: 12px;font-weight: bold;margin: 0px;padding: 0px;text-decoration: none;">All That's Sacred</a></td></tr></table></div></div><div style="display: block;float: right;margin: 0px;padding: 4px 0px 0px 0px;"><a href="http://www.facebook.com/facebook-widgets/fanbadges.php" title="Create your Fan Badge" target="_TOP" style="color: #3B5998;font-family: verdana;font-size: 11px;font-weight: none;margin: 0px;padding: 0px;text-decoration: none;">Create your Fan Badge</a></div></div><!-- Facebook Fan Badge END -->0 -

Someone has to pay to edit the Unplugged DVD. That kind of audio splicing isn't cheapbigeye21 wrote:"Last year’s Bonnaroo headliner Pearl Jam is one of the highest-paid festival acts, which could trickle down to consumers."

Do they let you buy day passes or is it the same as Bonnaroo where you have to get the 3-day pass, I'll go if they let you pay for 1 day pass only.
I'm sure they'll be other dates on Sep/Oct so I rather not spend so much money on 3 day passes tickets for 2.
I would still want to wait to see what other dates and venues they'll be playing... I think that all these rumors about ACL are good indication of Fall shows to come.

they sell day passes- I'm thinking about doing the whole festival if PJ, Beastie Boys, and KOL are all on separate days- and then do another 3 shows all in one city- like they did in SF in 06 (that is of course if I have the money)Mrs_Vedder78 wrote:Do they let you buy day passes or is it the same as Bonnaroo where you have to get the 3-day pass, I'll go if they let you pay for 1 day pass only.

Im thinking of doing this shows if its confirmed too, flights from miami to Austin are super cheap, I do wanna wait for some other dates though to make sure Texas is what i want to do, cause if they play cali this year I would probably like to make it to 2 or 3 shows in the West Coast so it would be either TX or CA so hopefully the announcements for shows will come together.0 -

when Widespread Panic headlined ACL in 2005 (Saturday), they played one of their standard 2 set + encore shows. i'd bet Pearl Jam would get the same opportunity0 -
bands make huge money for doing festivals. hey when you're in a band and you put out a cd thats really good and only 500,000 people buy it and some garbage band like nickleback sells 10 million cd's can you really blame pearl jam for being a festival band. also this just further puts the rumors of a fall tour of the west/south as fact. if thats the lineup as this blogger is saying the austin texas here i come yehawSmellyman wrote:I read a blogger talking out his A$$Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
