    I really enjoyed last nights episode. Much more than the premiere. I'm not sure about the girl other being Daniels mother. That was 50 years in the past and she just doesn't seem like she is 70 years old (hawking, if that is his mother). Who knows though with this whole time travel situation. The do have a slight resemblance. Loved that Widmore was revealed as an other. That made the episode for me because for way to long we have been wondering what his tie to the island may be. Here is my thought on good old Charles. He obviously left the island, or was banished. This possibly may have been around the time of the Dharma initiative and Ben taking over the others. Possibly Widmore thought he was to take over and departed when he didn't. He clearly wants the island and has big issues with the others and Ben. They obviously know each other too.

    I can't wait to learn more about Richard. He is one of the most interesting characters on the show and its about time his story was told. If we are going to see some of the others in younger form, how about bringing back mr. eyepatch.

    Also really liked the others were speaking Latin.

    I don't understand why the island disappears after the flash of light, if it is just the people travelling through time.

    Probably because they are traveling from one point in time on the island to another point in time on the island, in other words they are being picked up by the timestream and transplanted to another point along the stream.

    I'm with you. That was a good one. My husband was sitting there so quietly the whole time I was starting to think he'd fallen asleep until we had the Widmore revelation, then he sat up and said "Woah!" :lol:

    I'm also very curious about Richard and how old he is, especially after Juliet said "Richard's always been here."

    As for Patchy, I'm sure he'll turn up again. That bastard just will not die! :P

    I think Richard is going to be from the Black Rock, or maybe from even earlier than that. I doubt they get into his character until next season, if at all.

    I'm also thinking that Richard pre-dates the "Black Rock"....the classical statue of the foot....the speaking in Latin does make one think of the era of the slave trader/pirate ship.

    Sorry if this has been mentioned before, just tuning in to the discussion, but - it really bothers me that the 20 or so survivors are traveling through time on the island, but the rest of the people they come across aren't. WTF?!

    Thats what I think too. Since the others are a part of the Island, they are not affecte dby the time travel.

    I could see that, Richard being tied to the statue of the foot would be a cool connection.

    Desmond wasn't with them when the island moved after the wheel was pushed. He was in the copter with the Oceanic 6 and Lapidus. And Farrady also said that Desmond was immune to the rules so we'll have to see how that gets explained.

    In the preview, it looked like the hatch light was also shown so it could be that they jumped to the time when they first entered the hatch. So the voice that Sawyer heard could be Kate in the past. It would be interesting to see how TPTB handle running into your past self.

    :idea: Hello fellow Lost fans! Not sure if it's been discussed, but as I watched last night's episode a thought came to me. WHO is MILES? Where did he come from? Yeah yeah I know he is "with" Charlotte and Faraday but.. Is he the baby in the beginning of last week's episode or whenever they showed The Dr. getting up to do his 'video' for The Dharma Initiative, then having to switchover to the site where Faraday found the radiation leak in the rock foundation. Just a thought. And he sees and feels 'the dead'!
