I also work in IT and this could easily turn into a thread where we laugh at all the stupid IT questions we get throughout the day as it is.0

Pop Quiz nerds!
What routing protocol is used to connect via the shortest number of hops?
What routable protocol in the TCP/IP suite creates a connection-less link?
What type of memory requires light to erase it?
What re-writable memory maintains it's data after power-cycling?
What flying creature crashed the first computer?
What was the first PC?
How much did Microsoft purchase DOS for?
Bonus Question!
What famous phreaker invented the "blue box"?I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire0 -

Well that's really good then!
You could probably look most of them up online, I tried to formulate them to make that harder.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. A question, I've been thinking about starting a bunch of webpages, I know HTML, a little XML, and basic JavaScript, but is PHP any use? And if so where can I learn it? I also know a little C++ but not enough that it would be useful, if it is at all usable for my purpose."Feel it rising, yeah next stop falling!"

You don't use C++ for web development. I personally like PHP, it interfaces with MySQL well.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. OSPF?
What re-writable memory maintains it's data after power-cycling?
Well, that would be the Non-Volatile memory
What flying creature crashed the first computer?
Windows
Hi, I am a student ICT-electronics

Correct! OSPF or Open Shortest Path First

Well, that would be the Non-Volatile memory
Correct! NVRam or Non-Volatile Memory, I would have also accepted EEPROM, Electrically Erasable Programable Read Only Memory
What flying creature crashed the first computer?
Windows
Incorrect! This creature predates windows by a few billion years.

Thanks, good initiative, but the first crash was caused by a bug in a computer the size of an entire room
not quite sure about the nature of the bug tho, could've been a fly, I supposeSurf little waves big... Charge big waves hard

That's a very very close guess. It was actually a Moth.
"In 1946, when Hopper was released from active duty, she joined the Harvard Faculty at the Computation Laboratory where she continued her work on the Mark II and Mark III. Operators traced an error in the Mark II to a moth trapped in a relay, coining the term bug. This bug was carefully removed and taped to the log book September 9th 1945. Stemming from the first bug, today we call errors or glitch's [sic] in a program a bug. [2]"

Good stuff, I'm suprised you know the network answers, perhaps you should pursue a career in networking.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny.
