    I'm 24, and have never tried Seafood- I always hear sushi is so awesome, but something about raw fish turns me off of it.

    I love it as well. My fave is a "Aloha" roll at my fave sushi joint. It's the middle is coconut shrimp, then the rice, with shredded coconut on top, with a thin layer of raw salmon, topped with a sweet wasabi sauce. My mouth is watering right now for it! Wash it down with some Kiren Ichiban beers, and a side of adamame

    I love sushi, but sashimi, especially squid or swordfish, is better :D
    Not too keen on wasabi though...

    And the Tuna Rolls that I had a couple of weeks ago, were soooooo good I could definitely eat them every day :) Even my 4 yr old loved 'em. And my 12yr old daughter is addicted to it too

    It was a Sea Bream sashimi. If you ever come across Sea Bream.... GET IT!!

    I also at some Yellowfin sashimi straight from the fish at the Tsukiji fish auction in Tokyo. Holy shit that was good.:eek:

    i WANT to like sushi b/c i know how healthy it is. however, i don't....:o i keep saying i want to try it again, perhaps adjust my palate, but haven't gotten to it. one of my sisters LOVES it, i really have to go out with her for it again soon, give it another go. :)



    wasabi is fuckin'-fantastic tho!

    Well I tried it for the 1st time a year ago. It was a bit weird when I first ate it.... I mean raw tuna isn't to everyones taste :o However, I persisted with it and then soon became obsessed. I've travelled 20 miles or more for good sushi before, 'cos there's nowhere local :)

    mmmmmm i should have known better than to look in here before lunchtime, grrr!

    i love sushi, there's a place nearby that has the best stuff ever. i love tuna, unagi, california rolls, one fave of mine that i get made fun of for is the tamago...it's just egg and rice, but i like it :o lol

    they got this specialty roll that has tempura shrimp inside, avocado, unagi and then they dip the whole thing in tempura so it's all crunchy :eek:

    also known as japanese red snapper or madai

    Daiwa sushi in Tsukiji-what a place, 10 am omakase with sake

    best Ive ever had was in Sapporo, Japan

    but Sushi Yasuda in NYC is also world class

    ahh if I could only afford it more often

    I dont eat rolls other than an occasional negi-toro hand roll YUM
