  • i WANT to like sushi b/c i know how healthy it is. however, i don't....:o i keep saying i want to try it again, perhaps adjust my palate, but haven't gotten to it. one of my sisters LOVES it, i really have to go out with her for it again soon, give it another go. :)

    wasabi is fuckin'-fantastic tho!
The first time I tried sushi I HATED it! I kept thinking it would be good if it were cooked :o:p A few months later someone convinced me to try some rolls, and it just grew from there. Now I'm addicted to it - I crave it all the time.

Soooooooooo good. Had some Monday. Having some more on my B-day a couple days from now. But I have a question:

Where's the post linking to "Stuff White People Like"? I can't believe nobody's put it up yet.

    Love, love, love sushi.
I never had it until I was in my 20s in Korea and have been loving it since.
I love going out with a group of friends and getting a boat. :p
And especially when there are only a couple of us that like sashimi. :)

I was once the guy that said he'd never eat some raw thing that looks like a sliced up spleen, now I crave sushi everyday. It's so good and is eating up a lot of my paycheck!

One time for a hockey party he made a platter of sushi with a roll in the middle that had hockey sticks in it... i don't know how the hell he does it but he really is an artist :)

I think I'm the only one in the world who does not like sushi!!
I hate sushi as well. I can't eat anything that doesn't have a taste on it.
But then again, I've never really tried "real" Japanese sushi so I don't really if I dislike it or not.

My Wife and I love Sushi, anyone been to Nobu lately?.. We went once about 5 years ago to the one on Hudson street in Manhattan and it was alright, thinking about trying it again. One place we were really disappointed with was Sensei on Maui, we were there in August and all the Frommers and Zagat guides hyped this place big time. It was disappointing.

nobu is nice, and the food is good, but its not where you go for truly outstanding sushi in NYC
Sushi of Gari for more innovative stuff
Karuma Zushi and sushi yasuda for traditional

the omakase meal at each is simply one of the worlds greatest food experiences
    but $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
