    after playing the number of festivals they have in the last 3 years, you cannot count them out

    2007 - Katowice, London, Nijmegen, Rock Werchter,
    2008 - MSG x2, Hartford, Mansfield x2, Beacon Theater,
    2009 - Melbourne, Sydney,
    2010 - I watched it go to fire!
    2011 - EV Brisbane x3, Newcastle, Sydney x3,
    2012 - Manchester x 2, Amsterdam x2, Prague, Berlin x2, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen,
    2014 - Sydney, EV Sydney x3

    Yeah PJ said no more festivals after the Roksilde thing in 2000 but have obviously changed their mind since they do Lollapalooza now.

    They do other festivals....so yeah, I s'pose BDO isn't out of the question??

    I'd still rather spend my $$ on the actual tour and see them amongst TRUE fans :)
    Same with Uncle Neil....rather spend my money on his own gig.

    I can totally see your point, and to be honest when I listened to your reasons I was almost swayed to opt out of the BDO, if indeed they are playing....

    But I just couldnt live with myself knowing that I missed a show, within 250 kms of me :o

    Plus, you could always hope, that we WILL be amongst 'true' fans...the majority of the croud wouldnt know who PJ are and will leave us standing there in our own little crowd ;)

    I just went and had a look at the Big Day Out website and there is no lineup listed for 2009 yet. I suppose we all should just check on there regularly?

    Not with BDO :( I remember with RATM last BDO...every man and his dog went to watch them and a majority had no idea who they even were - just used it as an excuse to bash into everyone they could :rolleyes: all the true fans were stuck so far back, ya couldn't even see the stage or really appreciate it.

    I agree though....it would be torture for me knowing they're even playing in the country, let alone our state and not being there :(

    Yeah...

    Ive only been to one BDO, when Korn played (I was a MASSIVE fan :o ) and it got about 36,000 peeps there...

    Its getting bigger every year...hopefully you can protect me if we get bashed :eek: Im noooooo good at fighting (oh, neither are you ;) )

    That's the price you pay. If you want to be near te front at the BDO then you have to take your position early on and try to grin and bear the shit going on around you.
    That's if you can get a ticket

    there will not be anything till the end of the month

    it is usually the end of septemper.

    Ken west confirmed Neil young and MMJ yesterday though, just like RATM was announced early last year

    I don't think the BDO could afford Neil Young and PJ on the same bill. You'd think that Neil would get top billing so he'd get the last slot of the day, which means that PJ would get a maximum of 90 minutes
