With Football Season around the corner I felt this is a good time to ask what recipes everyone uses ?

  • This is my favorite recipe...

Step 1) Google Buffalo Wild Wings*

Step 2) Call your nearest Buffalo Wild Wings

    Step 3) Order wings.

    Step 4) Pick up wings.

    Step 5) Eat Wings.

    Step 6) Love life.

*Buffalo Wild Wings can be substituted for the nears Buffalo Wngs or Pizza Restaurant near you. For example, my favorite wings used to come from a Pizza place near me but it closed and now I shed a tear whenever I think about it.

  • first i cut the wing tips off and toss em out
then i put the wings in the oven on a foil covered cooking sheet and broil em with garlic salt and/or Tony Chachere's original Creole Seasoning (which is YUMMy on everything by the way!)

i turn the wings over a few times and make sure they are evenly cooked
and depending on the consensus brush them at the very end of cooking with either bbq sauce or hot wing sauce (but that can be left off if desired)

This is not a spicy-hot one, but it is really good. I made it for Superbowl and they went over really well.

    Mahogany Chicken Wings
3 pounds chicken wings, split and tips discarded
    1/2 cup soy sauce
    1/2 cup honey
    1/4 cup molasses
    2 tablespoons chile sauce
    1 teaspoon ground ginger
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

Place chicken in a shallow, medium dish.
In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, molasses, chile sauce, ground ginger and garlic. Pour the mixture over the chicken. Cover and refrigerate approximately 1 hour, turning occasionally.
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large baking dish lined with foil, arrange chicken in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven approximately 50 minutes, brushing with remaining soy sauce mixture often and turning once, until meat is no longer pink and juices run clear.

(The foil part is important becuase you will just fuck up your pan if you don't line it.)

Start with habanero peppers to make sauce (along with tomato base and a bunch of other seasoning).... and bake the wings low and slow for a few hours.... mmmmmm fall off the bone delicious

    For true "Buffalo wings".

Deep Fry wings. For healthier option, slather them in olive oil and bake them in oven. Also add some oil to the bottom of the pan so they do not stick. Either way, do so until golden brown and crispy.
To make sauce, melt 1/2 stick or so of butter in a pan add vast amounts of both Franks red hot and Tabasco sauce. Adding more tabasco is the way to make it as spicy as you want it. I never measure anything so just go with what seems best and keep tasting it unitl it is how you like it. I would expect to use a lot of both sauces. I would also imagine you can substitute a hotter sauce for the tabasco. Do not use a substitute for the Franks. Cook sauce for about 15 minutes. Place wings in a bowl. Pour sauce on top, cover the bowl with a plate or something flat that you can easily hold in place. Shake the bowl to mix. Get some good blue cheese (Kens steakhouse is very good) and some celery and you are set. Add one of the new Heineken kegs and you can have yourself an awesome Sunday in front of the TV. Enjoy. It is a somewhat arduous task, but well worth the effort if you do not have a good place to buy wings near your house. I learned the recipe from a buddy of mine in college who grew up in Buffalo. He was in charge of making the wings and we paid for the keg at many a pay per view and playoff party. I knew that watching him would some day pay off.

Stoney, I see you are from NY. Do you know if there is a place on-line that sells Duff's wing sauce? That stuff ROCKS.

I tried both but I think I prefer the original...not used to the buttery thing. Still good tho.

My mom gave me a kick ass deep frier for xmas last year...it's got a full size basket and digital controls for temp and timer...I think she's trying to kill me.

there is something inherently wrong with adding butter to deep fried wings.
