I just brought my Grand Rapids and Italy to frame. Now I am thinking I should have gone black matting, black frame on GR. I really like yours.

Thanks for convincing me that I won't be framing Cleveland. That poster if fugly. Nice frame though

Has anyone had any success framing the Yield Summer Tourposter? I bought one awhile back since I wanted to get a poster from all the shows I had seen and the Seattle 98 poster is pretty much a mortgage payment for me. Anyways I bought the Yield summer and I now want to get it framed, any suggestions/ideas? I was thinking something with a single matte since it is big.

As I am going through this thread, it seems there is a mix of people framing on their own, to taking it to a shop.

I don't trust myself, so I need to take it to a shop. Are the small mom and pop shops better than the chain stores, say, like Michaels??

I have one of the ugly posters but would like to get it framed and make it look great.

american frame is so much cheaper than michaels... and they have acrylic also!

I am not sure if one is better then the other, but I did get a bunch of framing quotes recently for a poster. One thing I do recommend is when you get the quotes make sure that they are all for the same, or close to the same thing. I noticed after when I was looking over my quotes that there was like $120 difference between them and part of that was because some of the framers were differences in the dimensions of my posters with different framers (up to 1/2 an inch). Plus different framers recommended different widths of mattes (from 2-4 inches). And since everything from the glass to the frame is sized based a difference of a few inches can quickly add up, so make sure when you are comparing prices it is for similar levels of work.

Wow, awesome job on the framing!! I have found the chain stores to be much more expensive than a mom & pop store. Plus it takes them 5x as long to do the job.
