20 feet from the bedroom to the office at home. Rush hour is about 8.15 when all the girls are in and out of the bathroom.0

It takes about an hour to get to work for me. I hate it.0

0.8 miles.
I can leave work and be at home in under 5 minutes.oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -
Just over 20 miles, I have about a 30 min walk and a train journey.Astoria 20/04/06, Leeds 25/08/06, Prague 22/09/06, Wembley 18/06/07,
Dusseldorf 21/06/07, Manchester 17/08/09, London 18/08/09, LA 06/10/09, LA 07/10/09.
Ain't gonna be any middle anymore.0 -
I've got 2 offices I work at. The main office is 72 miles, one way, from my house. The other is only 21 miles, but it's in the middle of the city, so it takes me just as long to get to that one as it does driving the 72 miles.
The times I'm on the road though make it not so bad. I get up at 3:30am and am out the door by 4:00am to be at work for 5:00am. I actually love the drive to work. No traffic, still night time outside, and it's like I'm the only car on the road. I just jam the stereo and rock out for an hour. It's all about the music...

3 days/week: @15 miles or ~1 hour one way. 10 minute drive to train, 35 minute train ride, 5 min walk.
2 days/week: 3 seconds. work from home and move from the bedroom to living room and turn my computer on.
i keep thinking about switching jobs but giving up the work from home option will be REALLY tough.0 -
I drive about 20 miles to get to the office. It usually takes between 20 and 30 minutes to get there, depending on the traffic and weather.0

I once commuted like 13 miles to winnetka from my place in bucktown. Yeah those 13 miles took over an hour each way "against the flow". If it envolves traveling on the Edens, avoid at all costs.
29 miles in Chicago land can easily turn into a life time.0 -
