Due to the events of last Friday, the above suggestion is now and going forward slightly irrelevant

Adam Jones singled to open the fourth and moved to third on a hit-and-run single by Luis Hernandez. Brian Roberts drove in a run with a fielder's choice grounder and stole second on a pitch-out, Melvin Mora walked and Jay Gibbons and Kevin Millar followed with RBI singles.
I got this from the Baltimore Sun. What's a fielder's choice grounder? There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous

A fielder's choice is when a batter reaches safely because the fielder threw to a different base for another out. Doesn't count as a hit, but does bring an RBI.Ms. Haiku wrote:Adam Jones singled to open the fourth and moved to third on a hit-and-run single by Luis Hernandez. It is however as you were probably getting at a redundant statement. A pop up would be an out, a foul ball is a foul ball. So all fielder's choices are the result of grounders.9/7/98, 8/3/00, 9/4/00, 4/15/03, 7/1/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 5/24/06, 5/25/06, 6/17/08, 6/22/08, 6/28/08, 6/30/08, 5/17/10, 10/15/13, 10/16/13.0 -

You're flying all the way down here for the NATS? Is it a NATS/BOSTON game? I thought NATS were playing Orioles that day? If they are, and BRob's on the team, then I'll care. If BRob is not on the team, then I won't carerearviewmiror wrote:I'll be goin g to the opening of the NATS new stadium on 3/30. I'm really excited. I've seen a game at RFK already.

I have friends in DC who have season tickets. I am a huge baseball fan, and am partial to the Nats due to my time in Virginia.

I love how some people think sports and music can't exist, as if they're mutually exclusive. Not that we don't all know this, but how 'bout the band Mookie Blaylock? Just a reminder.
This is Wiki, but what the hell:
"Daron Oshay "Mookie" Blaylock (born March 20, 1967 in Garland, Texas) is a retired American professional basketball player in the NBA...As fans of the basketball player, the band Pearl Jam was originally named "Mookie Blaylock", but they were forced to change the name. They settled on naming their debut album Ten after Blaylock's jersey number."
Hmmmm."Almost all those politicians took money from Enron, and there they are holding hearings. That's like O.J. Simpson getting in the Rae Carruth jury pool." -- Charles Barkley0
