    Dude, I've been in the hotel business for over 12 years. You do not get a much bigger room what-so-ever. All you get is wider door frames, a lower sink, lower light switches, lower shiter and a roll-in shower. End of list. Your room is no bigger then the standard rooms. So, one your an idiot and two you are taking rooms from people who really need them. But....the Karma Police will come a knocking one day.

    My daughter is in a wheelchair. I would be pissed if we couldn't get a wheelchair accessible room just because people lied to get a bigger room.

    Really some people don't realize how great their lives are. I'd give anything to not have to have a wheelchair accessible room :(

    Just wanted to add that she is only almost 3, but the wheel span on her chair is huge! We can't even use it in our house, it won't fit thru the doorways. And even tho she is really young and weighs only about 30 lbs, she is a quadriplegic so she can't help and hold on to us, so she gets heavy really fast.

    What are you going to do when you show up and don't have someone in a wheel chair?

    My mother broke her leg last yr and she actually needed a wheel chair.

    That's just an ill-conceived idea to say the least and at the most, I would never even fathom having the audacity to try to do something like that to get a slightly bigger room.

    And my father has a spinal cord injury and can't walk on his own.

    This is exactly why I think it's a shitty thing to do... sure, I laugh at the people who call the scalpers and the merch flippers evil and all that shit. I know where you're going with the "do-gooder" comment... I don't care how bad you want the poster or to see the show, your life isn't going to be any worse off if you don't get it.

    What if someone in a wheelchair is traveling by themselves and can't get around in a normal room? What if it's a child with their parents and they have to be incredibly inconvenienced being stuck in a room that isn't capable of handling a wheelchair? Trust me... nobody is cruising around in a wheelchair because they get cool hotel rooms and priority boarding on a plane.

    I don't know, man... I'd feel really shitty pulling something like that

    Let me say that I do respect the opinions of the people in here even though I do not know them personally. I do feel bad for trying to get a room by pulling that stunt. But for the record, I did not get one of those rooms, I got and paid for a suite. The hotel is not making exceptions b/c of the wheelchair BS.
    As I said before none of you are perfect and none of you can say you never done anything wrong so go easy people okay? We all have skeletons in our closet, I'm just the stupid one to post them sometimes. LOL

    One of my favorite things on the board is when some jackass posts a thread about something horrible he/she did. And when people call him/her on it, the poster always responds by trying to justify it with something in the vein of "OMG like you are all perfect angels who never did anything wrong!" Every time.

    I think it's just a dick thing to do. It's pretty sad when you need to stoop that low.

    Christ, I've stayed in hostels..some of which were really shitty..and I haven't complained...you on the other hand, had the audacity to do something like that. Maybe something will crush your leg and make you need that room? Talk about Karma! :D

    I was going to stay out of this thread.

    But honestly, I would never/have never lied by telling someone that a friends was in a wheelchair to get a better room. Regardless of whether it worked or not, thats what you tried to do.
