Anyone who hates the LOTR trilogy has got some serious issues. It's fantastic acting, fantastic filming, fantastic music, fantastic story. I mean seriously, if someone hates these movies and thinks they are boring...tell them they are idiots!

I agree with what you said about the filming, music, and story. But they're still boring, I thought the acting sucked.

Most of the acting sucked in that too. But at least it was only half as long. Mcnulty from the wire was terrible in it. The Action was good though.

Heh, How could you not like Gimli? And Legolas? Fucking awesome

And Gimli was played by that one guy in the Indiana Jones trilogy, Indies friend that would always help him out, he wore that silly hat

Anyone who says that the acting in LOTR sucks needs to watch Sir Ian McKellen more closely. That man is one of the finest actors on the planet and Gandalf is one of his best characters!

frodo is like luke skywalker... never the most interesting character in the trilogy. and let's face it whenever strider came on the scene who cared for the hobbits(or anyone else for that matter) anyway. :D

i can NEVER get sick of watching these movies..i love them! when they're on tnt i just leave it on as background :)

frodo is quite the little bitch though...it's all about sam, he holds the shit down at the very end. samwise representing!
    I agree.
    :)
Have you seen the extended remix dvds? That makes the trilogy about 12 hours or more. It is awesome though. Lots of stuff that was cut out of the first releases, but pretty important stuff.
I have only read the Hobbit. Scary. :o
I don't care how many times I see the Two Towers...I am always terrified when the battle is about to take place. TERRIFIED.
And then when the elf (can't remember his name) is killed. :(
    Incredible movies.

The elf killed in the Two Towers is "Haldir".

I've read all the books, have the extended DVDs have watched the trilogy a billion times.

    Much love for Aragorn.... :D

shame the movie haldir was so different from the literary haldir.

I loved the movie, but hated the books. It's a good story but the way it's written is so laborious, I ended up skipping most the descriptions of mountains and landscapes it got too much. Plus the characterisation is way too minimal for my liking. They get away with it in the films cos they have so much to squeeze in, but in the book everything's drawn out and out and out, yet the characters don't really seem to have that much variety in personalities dialogue-wise and never develop (well other than the basic "hobbits were cowards, now they're brave" thing repeated 4 times over). In 3 long books I expect some character development!

    Thankyou Lauren. :)
It really broke my heart when he was killed.
Who doesn't have love for Aragorn. :p
I loved the scenes with Liv. They were awesome together. When she calls the river and then puts him on the horse? So beautiful. She was awesome.

Haha. I went to Trilogy Tuesday when Return Of The King came out. It was both the Extended Versions of the first two followed by the premier of ROTK. I was literally in the theater all day. Loved it though!
