If he died once, at the start of the first one, and it all ended there, I'd find it all a little more bearable.:D
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

It wasn't until I was watching the series for the 100th time this weekend that it dawned on me just how many times Peregrin Took almost got everyone killed. He was a clumsy little hobbit he was.

But, according to wiki, he was also the youngest. So to me that would explain everything. The movie makes it out to look as though he is just stupid by nature. I didn't read the books as one might be able to tell.

Awesome. You definitely should read the books. Takes some time, but explain so much more than the movies.

You'd love the book! So great. It is long, but flows so well. I can't imagine anyone who read it not loving the movies. Peter Jackson and everyone involved did a great job. Most everything was very close to how I imagined it when reading. That can't be said for most. :)

i'm a regular sisyphus but with a pile of books instead of a rock :o lol i can't go into a bookstore, especially a used one, and not walk out with *something*, especially if i find a great bargain...i need to give it a home. what i need is to get another bookcase :o lol i need to sell/donate some books sometime to make room, it pains me to part with them though!

that said, i'll have to borrow my sis' copies of the books to read :)

I like the books more than the movies, but the books got way too in detail about absolutely nothing while the movies didn't, no happy medium, haha.

"Climbing Mordor, Frodo ran his hands through his hair. A single hair fell to the ground. Now, this had been one of those pesky hairs that he missed every cut, and it hadn't been cut since the first day of his harvest of cabbage back at the Shire. What a glorious day. There were these annoying birds chirping that day. Frodo remembered not being able to sleep. He remembered this dream where [insert two pages about a worthless dream that has nothing to do with the story]' Seriously, comon! :D

The thing with books like LOTRs and Harry Potter and fantasies in general is that anything can happen. You're wondering things like 'lets see, who could possibly be the bad guy doing this?' Then suddenly the author just creates a new mystery character, haha.
