castle mcbigballs gave it away i think.oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

I just think the secrecy is part of the fun. And I know I'll be looking for clues to who sent mine...:o
Ahh! We are supposed to leave clues? What kind of clues? I've never interacted with this person, so I have a feeling this person will not figure out that I am the sender. I haven't mailed it yet, but I thought when we opened the pressie the sender revealed themselves via a card or return address label. I guess I can make up a fake name.
What type of clues do we give?0 -

I know... well I can think of stuff... but it's hard to be inventive. I know some people here are really good at coming up with novelty stuff that's anything but tacky... I'd like to be able to do that
That's what I was struggling with. Sometimes there is a fine line between funny and tacky; or more realistically, what I find funny, people may find tacky.

It's up to you Jen, you can id yourself, or you can leave clues, or you can choose not to id yourself at all... chances are in the long run though that people figure out who has who anywaypearljamjen wrote:Ahh! done.
my gifts are at the ready.
i LOVE all this, so fun! i will probably post em friday or saturday, only days i have before the deadline to get em out.
it does suck that we must add our name/addy/contents/value for international parcels - IF you are a santa for someone abroad that is - but last year when i received mine, i simply did not look at the customs page. afterwards sure, but for the initial opening...i made sure to disregard it.
ya think perhaps we should set a date to ALL OPEN our secret santas together? that could be kinda fun, a real frenzy of opening and then posting. just a thought.
                        Stay with me...

Or.............somebody could start a "Recieved" thread and we can post if we thought our gifts were cool or not and who we think sent it, just like last year. You've changed your place in this world!0 -

So much pressure, what if my reciever thinks their presents suck
Notice presents is plural, I've decided to spoil my reciever just in case one or two of the gifts do suck in their opinion.....I can barely take the pressure. Just wrapping and sending and hoping for the best!Adolescence in essence is all about trust.

It is Christmas, no presents can suck. I just added that in there incase somebody wants to burst a bubble.
I don't think my receiver from last year knows who sent their stuff to them. Unless the cheated and asked Helen. You've changed your place in this world!0 -

Aww...I know, when I was buying the gifts I kept wondering "we'll my person think this is lame??" I liked it though.
Like you I bought a few different things hoping at least one will be a winner!

Yep, I'm getting a few things too, I've also decided that since I've found out my receiver and I have one or two things in common, I'm just gonna get things that I like and hope the receiver also likes them
