yeah, good taste with the kudos to johnny cash. :) i disagree with what he's saying about frankie working from the full guard, though. he's effective from there. great first round for him. that second takedown was more like a throw down. crazy arm crank attempt by spencer at one point, but otherwise all edgar.

I think Frankie was doing the best he could from full guard. Fisher is just very off his back, so it's hard to do a ton of damage.

Definitely round 1 and 2 to Edgar.

Can you hear Matt Serra in the background? I'm heard "and you're breathin'" at one point in the first round. ;)
  • how many takedowns was that?

    man...

  • yeah, i heard the "breathing" thing too. :D

should be an easy one for the judges to score. not as much action as i thought that fight would provide, but still a convincing win for edgar.

    like it was nothing, eh?

Just flopping him all over the place like a rag doll.

not bad at all for a short kid from Jersey

Edgar was definitely the victor in this one. I was actually happy to have a judge give him a 10-8 round. I don't judges do that enough when one fighter is obviously dominant.

That triangle was TIGHT! Herman was very lucky the round ended. I'm very impressed with how much Herman has improved.
  • holy saved by the bell flip flop match

  • i was surprised that ed was so dominant on the ground in the first. nice work there, but i thought he was done for at the end of the second. if he had two or three more seconds...damn!

ed wins it on the feet in the end!
  • ryo and karo...this one should be interesting.
  • well, a bit disappointing so far tonight. there's been a couple of good rounds, but i thought that karo vs. ryo especially would be a really good fight. let's hope maybe alexander and silva can fire things up a bit.

eh, kind of boring fight between Karo and Ryo. I should have gone with my gut on that one ... I initially had Karo as the winner.
  • Ok this should get better now... Alexander is up.

    too much wrestling so far

  • that was a bit of a spark. not much shown by houston on the ground and silva maintained a great mount to get the finish. good stoppage...though houston may have taken a couple of unecessary shots at the end there.

    big win for thiago.

At least that was more exciting. I'm surprised that Houston was willing to clinch with Thiago. Houston showed that he needs to work on his ground game, because Thiago just went to work with the ground and pound.

oooohh, close 2nd round ... I think it'll go to Bisping despite Rashad's slam early on.
  • Bisping has better lungs
