The same with the German boy...it wasn't until quite near the end I entertained the thought of it being Dearing.
See, I thought it was Dearing as soon as he caught the Guardians that night. I have to say, Alex never crossed my mind but I hoped so much it wasn't Reilly...
I knew it wasn't Gunther but I had no idea he would meet the demise he did.Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.0 -

Poor Mrs Gunther...:(
I loved all of the Catcher in the Rye references. Very rich writing.
In the back he suggests reading Catcher, Grapes of Wrath, On the Road, The Stand..all of which I have read. But he also suggests Damnation Falls by Edward Wright and The Woods by Harlan Coben. Has anyone read those?Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away0 -

So I finally found some discussion questions.
Let's start with the first one.
Remember...no wrong answers..just opinions.
Why does Joseph write?
In my mind he wrote because it came naturally to him, he was destined to write, his teacher helped bring about his awareness of it, but it was there all along.I came, I saw, I concurred.....0 -

I think Ellory did a good job at keeping us guessing for a long time, even though Dearing was always in the back of my mind.0
