  • I'm broke as fook!

Got soooooo much going on between now and mid February, it's ridiculous.

Housemate's birthday on Sunday - night out Saturday
Other housemate's hen night next Saturday (costume costs are as big as the bar bills gonna be but it's so worth it! :D)
A friend's baby is due anyday
    My nephew's birthday
    Mighty Boosh in Wolverhampton
    MMJ in Manchester
    Housemate's wedding
    Brother's birthday
    Dave's work's Christmas party
Friend's birthday (possibly a night out)
    My work's Christmas party
    The Levellers in Birmingham
    Niece's birthday
    Christmas!!!
My Mum's 60th birthday (Christmas day  )
    New Year
    Dad's birthday
    Sister in Law's birthday
My twin's birthday (and mine of course!)
    Mine and Dave's year anniversary
    Valentine's day.

All of that, as well as possible gigs (maybe Metallica?!), occasional nights out and general spending is gonna bankrupt me!

I love solving the problem of lack of fundage though :D

    * Christmas presents are on a budget - some are even being created by my own fair hand! (including PJ secret Santa)
    * Birthday nights out/hen night etc are being started by drinking at home - saves money on the bar bill.
    * Cheap hotels are being used or we simple don't go.
    * Won't be buying merch at gigs - I can always order stuff online at a later date
    * Walking to work instead of catching the bus - also makes me feel good and it's got the added bonus of helping the environment.

Dave also taught me something recently too - If you don't carry cash, you don't spend money on silly little things! Genius :D

I've taken to working out a budget each month. That, combined with not carrying cash and moving money into my other account 'til I need it (the one I DON'T have a debit card for) seems to be working. I know what money I have, where it's due to go and when... works for me :)
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

Another creative idea of the BAM kind:)....I have full gallons of paint left over from painting this house...now I'm moving and want the new place to look different so I'm taking the paint to get re-tinted a diff color:) costs NOTHING:D
