I mean some of those things can be fun but it got to the point where it was excessive and I'm sorry I don't want to spend my lunch hour making gingerbread houses with my coworkers. (That day I left haha and people looked at me like I was crazy). Fortunately I was getting ready to go out of the country so I used that as an excuse why I missed most of the activities, but still, everyone couldn't believe why I didn't want to participate in EVERYTHING. :rolleyes:

    Let me guess: You're a female. Men usually don't dread being single on Valentine's Day because we are counted on to buy the expensive gifts every year. Sometimes, I feel sorry for the suckers that are in relationships between Christmas and V-Day. In addition, I have found that Valentine's Night is the best time for guys like me to take advantage of lonely, single women for the night. I will have to see if this also holds true in Vancouver, where I will be this Valentine's Day. :D

    i think you're right though, overall....most men don't dread VD as much as women for that 'single factor' although honestly, i don't really know any women who truly do either. the internet is just a great place to exhale thoughts i think. :D from posts i've read here, VD DOES sound like a night ripe for crazy hook-ups! wish i'd known that back when i was single instead of just the romantic dinners. ;)

    What you read is true. When I was in college, I brought girls back to my dorm room/on-campus apartment three out of four years.

    It's refreshing to see that I didn't get attacked for that last post. When I posted about this subject on the NasBBS back in 2004/05, jealous niggas called me a "chump" for getting mine on V-Day.
