They are not like the dumb old patties you get in any old freezer.
And when you are having a heap of people over or taking them to a cook-out..they are so convenient. And you don't have to worry about everyone having stuck their hands in the meat and all that.
    They are really good.

Yeah when I think frozen, I think Topps-yuck.

I will have to give these a shot.

Nope... it was written in english on the menu Kobe Beef Sashimi burger. I've had steak tartare over here in the states and it usually is ground up with spices. This was just the meat, sliced up with some sauce on it.

well I think there may be a little poetic license being used with respect to the word burger, but whatever

and if you care, spend some time learning the difference between kobe and wagyu and the difference between, US, AUS, NZ and Japanese wagyu
the food geek in me finds it fascinating.
    sad I know :)

Japan has the best food in the world IMHO

Have you ever had the burger at Peter Luger's?
I used to live right around there, sort of, in Bkln, and never went.
It is listed as one of the best by many.

You know what upsets me, but I guess it is necessary these days...alot of places will not cook you a medium rare burger. Now I don't often order them when I am out and there are other choices, but still, it annoys me.
Bobby Flay even said at his new place that they can't do anything below medium because of local law.

  • To me a perfect burger doesn't come from a chain. it's from some roadside place you find off the interstae in the South. Somewhere where you eat at picnic tables near the order window.

Mine is Medium rare with all the traditional fixins. Mayo, Yellow mustard, ketchup, onions, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese if desired.

    No dijon mustard, ever.

Great thread, a good burger can be better than sex.
