Yeah for those of us who still follow the constitution....hint...George W. Bush.

Oh man, I bet Jim Rome read the news and was like, "Well, looks like I know what the clones will be banging on Monday." E-mailers have been on Heston's ass for the last couple of months. Monday's show will be hijacked with cold-dead-hands and damn-dirty-ape e-mails."Almost all those politicians took money from Enron, and there they are holding hearings. That's like O.J. Simpson getting in the Rae Carruth jury pool." -- Charles Barkley0

PearlJamaholic wrote:some of you people amaze me. after ledger died there was all kinds of crap because some moron made jokes about his death on the radio and how that was so uncalled for. yet here we are again making fun of a dead guy cause we didnt like some of the things he did. lets just forget the fact that he's human, like all us.
Shows you that maybe you should strive to be a decent human being on this world, because you will be reflected upon the moment you die, right? Ledger was a decent person by all accounts, but had his own personal demons that destroyed him behind closed doors. Heston did a lot to hurt and anger many people, thus not too much of a stretch to expect that would be part of what he is remembered for. This is true.
But, I believe after death everyone deserves to rest in peace. R.I.P.0 -
'Gordon Street?
Ah, yes, Gordon Street. I once knew a girl who lived on Gordon Street. A long time ago, when I was a young man. Not a day passes I don't think of her and the promise that I made, which I will always keep. That one perfect day on Gordon Street. That's uh, five blocks up, two over.''We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

what did hetson do to hurt people? not to get too off topic. but cars and alcohol kill more people then guns. and people do get murdered with weapons other guns too. i dont see how a guy saying if people want guns let them, is evil. what about the idea if people want abortions, let them. some people view abortions as evil. so when vedder dies and people say good riddance to a child killer, i guess its ok. i just dont think now is the time to be poking fun. let some time pass, dont be so heartless.
and am against guns, grew up around them my whole life. never met anyone that died from guns, but car accidents.......0 -

Why, he never murdered anybody. I understand his politics and beliefs may have differed from your own, but show the man some respect.mookie blaylock 10 wrote:ha ha!

Yes, per of OUR American Constitution, every American Citizen has the right to bear arms. Everyone can own a firearm. No, no one should have weapons grade plutonium, as Michael Moore pointed out. But you want to own a pistol or a shotgun, go for it. Follow the steps involved to own one legally, and have at it. Shooting guns in a safe environment is a good god damn time. Own a weapon for sport hunting or personal protection.irieinindy wrote:I don't mean to poke fun at a dead guy, but come'on. THIS GUY watched 3 of the most amazing men get blown away in his generation and once supported gun control! (MLK, JFK, RFK) Then flipped even after he was a friend of Reagan and watched him get shot! He once stood by MLK for a walk on Washington, MLK would be turning in his grave to see the way this guy turned out. RIP and good riddance!
I believe we have rights, but our right to bear arms does not mean every mother f@#$% gets to carry a gun!
If you support something like the NRA as strongly as this guy did, well you are then remembered with the cause you supported. Other people will praise him for his life and I will not!
Mr. Heston didn't write or draft the second amendment to the Constitution. I don't think you can fault a guy for trying the best way he knew how to uphold the Constitution. I don't agree with every stance he took, but I certainly didn't wish him to be murdered. I recognized that he himself wasn't a murderer.0 -

Yea I shouldn't be surprised. But sad how some people think. I didn't think about what he did outside of movies. Just thought we have lost a great actor.0 -
What if they freeze dried him in a professionally lit glass display case standing up firmly clutching a rifle?Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

no respect here. if someone's an asshole when they're alive, that doesn't change when they're dead. he's still an asshole...just better that he's a dead one now.0 -
