ha ha! :D i'd always hoped he die from a gunshot wound...oh well, good riddance.

I hope you have a shitty birthday. Show some respect for the dead. Or better yet grow the fuck up.

Yea I shouldn't be surprised. But sad how some people think. I didn't think about what he did outside of movies. Just thought we have lost a great actor.
  • What if they freeze dried him in a professionally lit glass display case standing up firmly clutching a rifle?
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Yeah, seems like people on this forum cant put things behind and just focus on his career as an actor. There's alot of hate on this forum, makes me sad

no respect here. if someone's an asshole when they're alive, that doesn't change when they're dead. he's still an asshole...just better that he's a dead one now.

sorry, no respect from me in this case. a dead asshole is still an asshole.

Wow.. a lot of people are "assholes". Doesn't mean they are better off dead.

Unless you personal knew the guy, I'd stop acting like a 2 year old. No need dump your crap on this thread.

You're entitled to your opinion of course, but just to point out, your opinion makes you look like a hypocrit.

I'm just saying.. the guy probably was an asshole.. and I'm laughing at some of the jokes about getting his gun and the apes coming, but come on, what's the worst thing Charlton Heston did to you, that made him better off dead, besides expressing an opinion that differed from yours???

Shows you that maybe you should strive to be a decent human being on this world, because you will be reflected upon the moment you die, right? Ledger was a decent person by all accounts, but had his own personal demons that destroyed him behind closed doors. Heston did a lot to hurt and anger many people, thus not too much of a stretch to expect that would be part of what he is remembered for. Be the best person you can be during life if you want to be remembered as such.
and there are people in this world who may look at heath ledger....

and NOT look at him as such a "decent person"......

    illegal drug problems???
    illegitimate children???
    soft core gay porn????
    Take me piece by piece.....

    lol gay porn??

He had his personal issues, sure, but like I said he was by all accounts a great person up until the drugs overtook him. If he had an illegitimate child, that may hurt that child, his other children and his ex-wife. His drug problems only really hurt him. Sorry, but these issues are not much different than your average person.

What Heston did regarding Columbine itself is reprehensible and cold. I'm not about coming out a railing on a person right after they die. My original post was simply pointing out that if you lead your life in a manner that hurts, offends or disrespects a large number of people, don't be surprised that that is how you will be remembered when you cease to exist.

ps...not to get off topic or start anything here, but weren't you making jokes and shitting on others for being upset about Ledger's untimely death? What's with the obsession? Why all of a sudden so serious about Heston?

    Whatever, ex girlfriend.

So what you're saying is that you would cast judgement on a deceased person who had a child with his girlfriend out of wedlock? How about someone who had premarital sex? Oooh, or living with someone before marriage? They're all looked at as bad by the 'church' people, right?

You would equate that with disrespecting dozens of family members of the deceased and the hundreds affected by the Columbine massacres by Heston's celebration of guns in the same town at the same time? You don't see how personal problems and family issues differ from disrespecting hundreds if not thousands of grieving people?

It's ok SPEEDY, watching Brokeback Mountain won't make you any more gay. ;) No need to hate on Heath.

Just watched I am Legend...made me remember Omega Man! He made some strange movies then--Soylent Green too. Which is totally dated now. You should check out the "costumes".

The only thing he meant to me was a terrible overrated actor in terrible movies and a gun-nut who was a complete ass politically.
