I haven't been listening, but this indicates they must've beaten:
    Midnight Oil
    Aerosmith
    System of a Down
    Rage Against the Machine
Red Hot Chili Peppers (assuming they beat Blindspott, or vice versa)

They are up against the winner of FF and Pink Floyd in the final! How can they lose?

  • I told the old man I was certain Metallica or U2 would win it, but this is great news.Winning the Rock Wars should convince them they have to come...has the overall winner been decided yet? I thought after they only got 66% of the vote against Aerosmith theyd struggle.

They had a few close shaves. They only just bet System of a Down. Im not sure about the Chili Peppers but that must have been to the wire.

Can I suggest there'd be no other country in the world where Pearl Jam would win such a contest? Can I suggest on that basis we DESERVE A BLOODY TOUR? Roar.

Am I serious about flights being that cheap or about me having a spare ticket...??
Well, it's a yes to both from me anyway....

Just think about that hot hot sun... wicked amounts of shopping... sand in your togs... copious amounts of cheap alcohol... being away from the hell that is work for a few days... being part of an awesome show by an awesome band (for your first and possibly last time)... you just have to put up with being surrounded by aussies for a couple of days... ;)

PM me if I've managed to lure you over to the dark side...
  • Hey people. I have convinced Jono at the Rock to plug my petition on air. He's gonna get behind it casue he is pretty gutted too.

Yeah, closest was 51% against RATM (Rage), but the point is if NZ rockers want PJ above all others then there must be a strong groundswell of support for their tour.

Seriously, without being overly negative, the tour is not going to happen...they cancelled accomodation - we had thousands of signatures last time, it didnt work, dont get your hopes up guys....
