This Scottish guy at work... one of the most arrogant people I've ever met... urgh! All his stories are about how great he is and all the jobs he's saved and blah blah blah... even stories about his friends are about how much he means to his friends and how much they want him around and blah blah blah.

Anyway, I mentioned how I was in Birmingham last weekend and he said 'aren't you the wrong colour for birmingham?' I kinda just ignored him... then he was saying how it's a sad state of affairs when you can't understand what anyone's saying in your own country

. First of all I'm thinking 'you're scottish, it's not your own country' and secondly I can't understand half the things he says either... and would imagine a lot of people would have difficulty

Then he starts talking about the north and his 'indepth knowledge' of Irish politics from his time as a British soldier :rolleyes: URGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

new guy? always seems its a matter of time before people like that eventually "hang themselves" ... prolly cant hold a job because people cant or wont put up with his crap... it wont be long before he's the new guy somewhere else... have patience!!!

There's nothing worse than the office know all. Probably thinks he's funny and you are being entertained by him. Perhaps a quiet but polite word.

No he's not new... he's a pain in the arse but this is the first time he's proved to BE an arse... although I'd heard it from everyone else... apparently his attitude towards women is fantastic too :rolleyes: can't wait to find that one out.

He's got this massively overinflated sense of importance... and yet nobody can stand him

nah, I just don't come to work to argue with people... especially not political arguments. For him to work in Dublin and argue his point about the north from the point of view of a British soldier... is a little bit stupid in fairness

No they don't... there's only two I've complained about since I got here, this guy and the lazy one who offloads his work onto everybody. My boss can be a pain in the arse at times but he's generally a good guy... and the rest of them are absolutely lovely.

The guy in this thread doesn't work for my company anyway, he's just on site.

He's the resident engineer... so he kinda works for the client and is overseeing all the works... kinda all of our boss :rolleyes:

He paints himself as this super cool all round great guy... but he's anything but!

Oh no.. there is a bit of a rift between my boss, offloading guy and everyone else

and there's a rift between asshole guy and everybody... but the rest of them really are top people. With the exception of the aforementioned, we got the best lot on this job

but my favourite is leaving in a couple of weeks

and another two who I really like are planning on leaving soon too

but it doesn't matter... cos I got some plans in the works meself

oh I know what ya mean... but he's the kind who wouldn't shut up from talking about himself and how wonderful he is to LET you get a word in edgeways anyway

. He's also a very very clever man... I think sometimes he says stuff to get a reaction, which is why I don't give it.

Oh! This just gets worse. I had this years go at a design agency I worked for. The plonker interfered with everything, helped himself to our stuff and was glared at for the full 2 weeks he was there.

...and then his company went belly up and never paid us. :mad:
