But remember that the mainstream media is full of morons with no analytical skills. They'll talk shite for three days, then read what's on the Internet, when they'll change their minds.

Incredible? Well, yeah...a lot of what she said was not credible. So, yeah. She was incredible. ;)

    mcjuicy! long time no "see"!

did these people see the same speech? i did not find one redeeming thing in that....and i went into it thinking i might like her or have a little more confidence in her afterwards. definitely tried to stay open-minded and came out terrified of the prospect of this person as our VP.

Oh I can't wait for the debates now. I thought I was back in school and my chemistry professor was lecturing to me.

We'll see how it played .... again, in that building, people ate it up.

But, we'll see how the public actually takes it in.

The soccer moms were seriously lacking in representation during that speech.

Or do the soccer moms hang with the Democrats?
drivingrl: "Will I ever get to meet Gwen Stefani?"
kevinbeetle: "Yes. When her career washes up and her and Gavin move to Galveston, you will meet her at Hot Topic shopping for a Japanese cheerleader outfit.

    Next!"
  • Generally, these things tend to go by party lines.

If you are generally a Democrat, obviously you thought the speech sucked.

If you are generally a Republican, you are now ready to move to Alaska should the whole "McCain-for-president" thing not work out.

As a guy who is far closer to the McCain side of the ledger than the Obama side of the ledger, I thought the Palin speech was pretty much a grand slam.

From a purely political perspective, it accomplished most everything it needed to. This little ol' gal from Alaska kicking The One in the ass.

I wouldn't expect in Barry fans to think it was any good, just like I didn't think the Hillary speech from last week that everyone thought was so grand was any good.

True, honestly I don't remember Obama's speech at all from last week.

But considering expectations were set so low for her, I would have to say it was a successful night for the GOP.

Now did it sway me from voting third party ... nope. ;)

The speech that Governor Palin gave was well delivered, but it was written by George Bush's speechwriter and sounds exactly like the same divisive, partisan attacks we've heard from George Bush for the last eight years. If Governor Palin and John McCain want to define 'change' as voting with George Bush 90% of the time, that's their choice, but we don't think the American people are ready to take a 10% chance on change," said Bill Burton, Obama Campaign Spokesman.

I remember "hope" I remember "change" and I remember a laundry list of promises that will never be met.

I couldn't bring myself to listen to Palin, but I didn't listen to Biden either. I consider VPs irrelevant. I'll listen to McCain to see what he's shoveling tomorrow, but he's going to have to bring a big one to outdo Obama.
