there is a alot of truth to your statement. Why does the US care if Cuba is communist? what do you care? I dont give a shit. you know why? cuz I dont live in Cuba. Its not my problem. Who are we to tell the people of Cuba how they should distribute the wealth of their nation. I dont go over to my neighbors house and tell them how to manage their money. and if I did I would probably get told to mind my own business.

If the US would just recognize the Cuban goverment and start doing business with them Im sure everything will get better and better and people who would like to go to the beach and drink mojitos could do so freely.

Like I said if you actually knew anything about the history of US-Cuban relations you might be taking a different tone. You stance is a prime example of people who are absolutely in the dark about the events that brought us to the present day situation but they regurgitate what had been spoon fed to them as if they actually have a clue.

Also let's talk about Castro's muderous regime or better yet why not talk about how the US sponsored, and is now protecting, well known terrorists and the countless innocent people they killed.

This little nuggets of truth was one of many facts I never once came across until I read Hegemony or Survival.

Now...can someone please explain to me the US's justification for having their biggest Gulag in Cuba? I've never understood how that works...

Look up all the info you can on Operation Mongoose, Operation Condor, Orlando Bosch, and Luis Posada Carriles. We are just as quilty as Iran, Syria, etc when it comes to state sponsored terrorism. What this country did to Cuba was carry out a policy of terrorism and aggression against a nation that never once threatened our security.

Could you imagine every country that the States beat in a turf war deciding not to have anything to do with em? They'd have no friends. :)

I don't support Castro at all. He has caused so much misery and suffering in my parents' homeland, but the embargo is absolutely fucking useless. Also the US shares responsibility for the conditions in Cuba. Castro wanted friendly relations with the US when he came to power and Eisenhower even greated his assent to power with approval. It was the Cuban-American community and US corporations, like United Fruit, that presurred the US government to distance itself from Castro. We then took it a step further by starting a covert war against his government. Cuba could have been a mucg different place had we decided to take a different course of action. I also love how Bush states that we will not do business with a oppressive murderous regime, well what the fuck is Saudi Arabia and China.

    Well said.

    You're full of shit. Period.

In your one-eyed, skewered little view of the world, being critical of Bush et al makes someone 'anti-American'. And being critical of the Zionist Israeli government makes someone ant-Israeli, or even 'anti-semitic'.
And for your information, I've never read Marx, or Lenin.

So, as I said above. You're full of shit.
And I was actually beginning to like you a few months back. Shame.

and you have specifically said you support hamas and any civilian living in an occupied territory is a justified target.

Please do. I expect you'll find the one post where I ripped into Americans per se. This was in response to a lot of sabre-rattling against immigrants. I explained afterwards that the post was largely tonge-in-cheek. But go ahead, pounce on that one crumb and knock yourself out with it.

Or is this just more of the same groundless, vacuous crap that we all come to expect from you on a daily basis?

Please explain how my saying that 'any Jew living on illegally occupied Palestinian land is a legitimate target' makes me anti-Israeli.
Go on, give it a go. Try and stretch that earwigs brain of yours and surprise me. I'm in a fun kind of mood this evening.
