Don't be fooled, most military members don't vote at all. Out of my shop of about 20, I think me and two other guys voted in 04.BRING BACK THE WHALE0

And the Fox News thing is called sarcasm, I'd send you a link as to the definition but I don't have all day to explain it to you.

Some basic logic applied. War is hell. Vote for hell?
What did I miss?Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Right. And I'm very suspicious of that margin. I would bet more actually vote for Obama.0 -

Some that do vote are hard line Rep. but I wouldn't say thats not the case this time around. The basic guy in his early 20s in the military only cares about booze, chicks, and his car/bike (not all, but MOST) which you can't enjoy much of deployed. I think they will vote for anyone that will keep them state side longer. But the biggest factor is that most guys really don't care or will take the time to go to the polls. A reason for this is the fact that they have to vote absentee ballot for what ever state is the place of residence. I sent out my ballet from AZ to CT back in 04, and that was more work then most guys care to do.BRING BACK THE WHALE0 -
Dirtie_Frank wrote:Actually they would normally Republicans give more to the military. For instance when Clinton was president the pay raises were few and new equipment was very hard to come by.
Yea because our soldiers have had such GREAT care under the Republican leadership the last 8 years. Some soldiers having to buy their own armor, in many cases soldiers underequipped, the Walter Reed scandal, the lack of MRAP vehicles, high levels of soldier suicide. How do they give more to the military again?West Palm 2000 I & II/West Palm '03/Tampa '03/Kissimmee '04/Vic Theater '07/West Palm '08/Tampa '08/NYC MSG I & II '08/Philly Spectrum III & IV '09/Cleveland '10/Bristow '10/PJ20 I & II 2011/Pensacola '12/Pittsburgh '13/Denver '140 -

Whilst you say you are not for McCain, you absolutely despise obama and that is enough to motivate you to 'appear' to be more in favour of mccain because you spend your time trying very hard to discredit obama to try and make maccain look better.

Ha. I wasn't trying to hide that. I'm very open about my disgust for him and I never have been trying to cover that up. His policies are a joke. His wife is a fake. His friends are scum.0 -

You know nothing about his wife, his friends and probably his policies for that matter. You know the McCain talking points that's about it.West Palm 2000 I & II/West Palm '03/Tampa '03/Kissimmee '04/Vic Theater '07/West Palm '08/Tampa '08/NYC MSG I & II '08/Philly Spectrum III & IV '09/Cleveland '10/Bristow '10/PJ20 I & II 2011/Pensacola '12/Pittsburgh '13/Denver '140 -

Ok, I'm in Illinois and in Chicago. You are right I know nothing about politics, you caught me. :rolleyes:0 -

I thought Chicago was already in Illinois. You make it sound like they are in different places. Anyway, your geographic location has nothing to do with your political knowledge or lack thereof. That makes about as much sense as Sarah Palin saying she has foreign policy experience because she can see Russia from Alaska. I never said you "know nothing about politics", you did. I'm just saying simply repeating McCain talking points doesn't show much thought.West Palm 2000 I & II/West Palm '03/Tampa '03/Kissimmee '04/Vic Theater '07/West Palm '08/Tampa '08/NYC MSG I & II '08/Philly Spectrum III & IV '09/Cleveland '10/Bristow '10/PJ20 I & II 2011/Pensacola '12/Pittsburgh '13/Denver '140 -

I'm not making it sound like they are in different places, I was merely being more specific in my locale.
Like if I said, I like dogs, Rottweilers to be more specific.
Either way you call the talking points whatever you want, I'll call them facts. The facts are that he associates with people whom I would not, so I question how he judges a character. I don't like his policies, shall I LIST them? His wife simply annoys me, in the same way Michael Moore annoys me, in the same way Cindy Sheehan annoys me.0 -

Ok well I'm on Earth, and in North America and in the United States and in Pennsylvania and in Pittsburgh. You're right that sounds totally normal.
Just because you call them facts does not make them facts. They're simply McCain's talking points which you blindly follow. I'm assuming you're referring to Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright. If you're gonna do that how about McCain's associations with Pastor John Hagee and Gordon Liddy? (look them up as I'm sure you know nothing about them) Sensible people know we can't control 100% of the people we associate and come in contact with. We can denounce them though as Obama has done with Ayers and Wright unlike McCain who hasn't denounced Hagee or Liddy.
Let's hear that list of policies that you don't like. If you can actually come up with something besides McCain's tired talking points.
You know nothing about his wife, Moore, or Sheehan. All you know is that they don't tow your partisan line so therefore they "annoy" you. Wow, probably the most insulting things I've ever heard someone say on this board. And I've heard some insulting shit. Not to mention totally uninformed. I can only hope you're kidding. Seriously could you be any more of an uninformed douchebag? Partison line? I'm a registered Democrat, all they do is tow the partison line.0 -

Cindy Sheehan vs Nancy Pelosi ... yup, these are my choices! (as well as Repub. and Libertarian candidate that stand no chance)
Gavin Newsome as a mayor (Bill O'Reilly's new pet project to slam)
and Arnold as a Governor (he was put in office before I moved out here, don't blame me) ...
leaves me only one thing to say ....

Wow, douchebag? You can always tell when someone doesn't know what they are talking about because they resort to calling people names. Instead of sticking to the subject, instead of listing those policies of Obama's that you don't like, you have to call me names. Can't say I'm surprised though, it was pretty obvious you were talking nothing but nonsense anyway. It's spelled partisan not partison.West Palm 2000 I & II/West Palm '03/Tampa '03/Kissimmee '04/Vic Theater '07/West Palm '08/Tampa '08/NYC MSG I & II '08/Philly Spectrum III & IV '09/Cleveland '10/Bristow '10/PJ20 I & II 2011/Pensacola '12/Pittsburgh '13/Denver '140
