I thought Chicago was already in Illinois. You make it sound like they are in different places. Anyway, your geographic location has nothing to do with your political knowledge or lack thereof. That makes about as much sense as Sarah Palin saying she has foreign policy experience because she can see Russia from Alaska. I never said you "know nothing about politics", you did. I'm just saying simply repeating McCain talking points doesn't show much thought.

I'm not making it sound like they are in different places, I was merely being more specific in my locale.

Like if I said, I like dogs, Rottweilers to be more specific.

Either way you call the talking points whatever you want, I'll call them facts. The facts are that he associates with people whom I would not, so I question how he judges a character. I don't like his policies, shall I LIST them? His wife simply annoys me, in the same way Michael Moore annoys me, in the same way Cindy Sheehan annoys me.

Cindy Sheehan IS annoying. I mean, Jesus, I know your son died fighting an unjust war and all, but why don't you just shut the fuck up and go have a beer? Your son's death gave the Iraqis freedom...

the same freedom anyone can have under an occupation, of course.

Ok well I'm on Earth, and in North America and in the United States and in Pennsylvania and in Pittsburgh. You're right that sounds totally normal.

Just because you call them facts does not make them facts. They're simply McCain's talking points which you blindly follow. I'm assuming you're referring to Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright. If you're gonna do that how about McCain's associations with Pastor John Hagee and Gordon Liddy? (look them up as I'm sure you know nothing about them) Sensible people know we can't control 100% of the people we associate and come in contact with. We can denounce them though as Obama has done with Ayers and Wright unlike McCain who hasn't denounced Hagee or Liddy.

Let's hear that list of policies that you don't like. If you can actually come up with something besides McCain's tired talking points.

You know nothing about his wife, Moore, or Sheehan. All you know is that they don't tow your partisan line so therefore they "annoy" you. That in and of itself is pretty annoying.

Wow, douchebag? You can always tell when someone doesn't know what they are talking about because they resort to calling people names. Instead of sticking to the subject, instead of listing those policies of Obama's that you don't like, you have to call me names. Can't say I'm surprised though, it was pretty obvious you were talking nothing but nonsense anyway. It's spelled partisan not partison.

not to mention 1.2 million Iraqis who would probably be out protesting with these people had they not been killed.

Wow. I'm not sure if I should be honored or frightened that you spend so much time researching me. You were even able to find the one word that I spelling wrong in over 800 posts. Thank you. Since you know so much about me now can you please stop accusing me of siding with McCain?

People on here should do this much research because then they wouldn't accuse me of supporting the war in Iraq, of which I am against. I am very much against Barack Obama, and almost against McCain as much as that. Either way this country is going to be in for a rough four years.

I Wasn't really researching, just noting your hypocrisies and inconsistencies which isn't very hard to do. I have a hard time believing that was the only misspelled word in over 800 posts. Especially when you misspelled it twice and especially when you say things like "You were even able to find the one word that I spelling wrong..."

Does that count as another misspelled word, or just poor grammar? TECHNICALLY douche bag isn't spelled douchebag, it's two separate words so chalk that up as another misspelled word.

Ok, now I'm just busting your balls a little. Seriously though, I never said you were siding with McCain. I just said you were simply repeating his talking points, and that you know nothing about Obama's wife. I still stand by those statements. You even repeated some racist Rush Limbaugh talking points in another thread and people called you out on it so I'm not the only one making these suggestions. I'll leave you alone now though, I'm not here to make any enemies. Just here to discuss issues that's all.

Yes, only white people are racists, like Rush. I've never heard his show BTW and I think he is a blow-hard windbag. I much prefer Mr. Lou Dobbs. Of course people like Jesse Jackson and Rev Wright are not racists, I get it. When blacks stick up for themselves they are hailed a civil rights heroes, when whites do it they are labled racists.

What racist comment did Rush say that I quoted? on edit: I believe many black people are voting for Obama simply because of his race. He has energized them in a way that no one has before. Every black person who has publicly voiced support for a candidate has done so for Obama, hence the big surprise comment.

Your other thing that you are trying to get me on was a typo, sorry it was 213AM.

I'll talk issues all day, where do you want to start?

Kind of like polling people here.

All of the left is constantly screaming to bring the troops home, take care of the troops, etc., yet apparently the troops want the Republicans to win. How about the left put their money where their mouth is and vote Republican if they care about the troops?

"Name all the white liberals that Colin Powell has supported."

Or something along those lines. It's verbatim from Rush Limbaugh, and I think he deserves credit for it. You're just stealing his quotes from under him, and that's not nice.

And since you never answered me in the other thread, the answer is Jimmy Carter.

If you look I edited my reply. I'm not claiming that quote as my own but I do agree with him on it. It was also posted in both of the Chicago papers, that is how I saw it. Do you think it is possible someone else thought to ask that same question?

What about Jimmy Carter? Powell endorsed him to negotiate with HAMAS?

You asked what quotes you'd lifted straight from Rush. That was lifted straight from Rush. You asked for an answer and you got it.

In regards to Jimmy Carter, if you remember you asked what white liberals Colin Powell has supported for President. And the answer is Jimmy Carter when he ran for and was elected President.

Ok so the last white liberal Powell endorsed ran about 33 years ago. Thanks for clearing that up.

I see why he hasn't endorsed any since.

Sorry if you've got egg on your face, but you asked for an answer and you got one. He's supported liberals in the past and he's doing it again. You've said you're voting third party, so I suppose you can sympathize with his feeling that the Republican Party has strayed from what attracted him to it in the first place.

    this one...

How many white liberals has Powell supported in the past? Don't bother trying to find out, we all know the answer.

And you had another post in the same thread that said

"another black person voting for Obama, what a surprise"

Something along those lines, you removed or edited it though so I can't pull the exact quote. The implication is Powell is only supporting Obama because his race, even though he gave legitimate reasons why he's supporting supporting Obama. That's directly out of the Rush Limbaugh playbook:

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/1008/Limbaugh_Where_are_the_inexperienced_white_liberals_Powell_has_endorsed.html?showall

It's not just Limbaugh making that stupid argument there are others as well agreeing with him. Then when someone here actually names a liberal he supported, you dismiss it because it was 30 years ago.
Didn't Powell endorse McCain in 2000 and Bush in the 2000 general election? If he's so racist as you and others are saying, why would he endorse those white men? Another way to look at it, how many black men running for president has Powell endorsed in the past? Did he endorse Sharpton, Jackson, or Alan Keyes (a black republican) when they had their presidential campaigns? Applying your logic he would have endorsed them because of their race.

I'm not arguing, but why were the troops that were deployed to afghanistan and iraq lacking sufficient equipment?

b/c we didn't have any money for adequate protection (don't forget the bush administration CUT the military's hazardous duty pay and family separation allowance before invading iraq, too!)

that tax money was set aside for no bid contracts and then bonuses for those companies even after it was proven they committed fraud in their billing and other horrendous shit like feeding our troops spoiled meat, contaminated drinking water....

How would voting Republican HELP the troops? Help them by keeping them in Iraq longer? That's what will happen under a Republican admin. I saw a poll a couple years ago where 60-70% of troops wanted to withdrawl from Iraq. Nevermind who they are voting for, find me a recent poll of a majority of troops that want to stay.

There's plenty of reports of troops paying their own armor, at least over 12% returning with PTSD (which Cindy McCain implied was due to them not being trained properly) high numbers of troop suicide, troops coming home to homelessness, and the Walter Reed scandal, all under the Republican admin of the past 8 years. You can go to the IAVA website (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America) and read about all these issues:

http://www.iava.org/press-center (very bottom of the page)

you can also watch this video of Paul Rieckhoff, an Iraqi vet and executive director of IAVA, speaking about John McCain's poor voting record on veteran's issues.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-Tw0z-YXes

So how would voting for Republicans HELP the troops again?
