    also...

how is he expecting to fund all these research projects and education programs if at the same time he is talking about cutting taxes and while he continues to cut education programs and the college cost for tuition is rising.

    it just makes no sense

Reagan decreased taxes and tax revenues went up. Tax cuts spur investment, which will then spur the economy. The economy grows, which means tax revenues grow. Hurting small businesses by raising their taxes will not cause them to employ more people, so it makes sense to make the tax cuts permanent. I have a few tax clients who have already getting ready for the day a Democratic comes into office and does not renew the tax cuts.

The problem is SPENDING. Not tax cuts. The U.S. has one of the highest, if not the highest corporate tax rates in the world. That's right, your Do-No-Wrong Europe does not have tax rates as high as the US. Bush sucked at curbing spending, but taxes is not the problem. It is bailing out people with money that can't help them. You can't teach children without quality parents, no matter how much money you throw at the children. Computers and books won't make them care.

Our own intelligence community has stated that Iran is no longer pursuing a nuclear weapons program. Sowhy are we still harping on Iran and why is he even mentioning Cuba. Could it be that a year ago a huge oil deposit was found off the northern coast of Cuba in the Northern Cuban Basin.

The scary thing is that there is as much an agenda with Bush and Iran as their is with the intelligence community and Iran. I don't know who to believe. I probably don't believe either of them.

and why is this a problem?

It is a problem because there are programs that need more funding. The tax cuts are going to the wealthy, and the money that we as middle class Americans are getting back DOES NOT work, as far as stimulating the economy goes. It has proven not to work by the last 7 years of Bush's presidency... The economy has gotten progressively worse because of such policies... and by the economy, I mean you and me being able to afford to live.

Iran funds militia groups against our troops, the fund terrorist groups in palastine and lebanon. they are not 100% honest about their nuke program. give virtually no freedoms to its people.

    A. Saying Iran funds militia groups against our troops is like saying The United States promotes pedophilia because there are pedophiles in the country.

    B. The Palestinians are NOT terrorists! They are fighting for land THAT BELONGS TO THEM! Land that was progressively taken away from them over time after the Nazi's invaded and a bunch of Fundi Christians decided that the Jews needed to go back to their "promised land".

    C. You, or anyone else has NO proof about their nuke program. The president of Iran has no such power, and although he has made wild claims, he can NOT wage war OR authorize the creation of nuclear weapons. He doesn't have the same power our president does.

If we want other countries to end their nuclear programs, maybe we should first.

    D. The people are in a fight for a democracy of their own, and have a great chance in winning. If we bomb them into a third world country status, the only people with any power will be the corrupt militia men you speak of. (This is what happened in Afghanistan)...

The "dictators at the top" are old hat, and are slowly being whittled away by the youth of the country who are rebelling and demanding better. this is why i like Mike Gravels plan.. you can eliminate the income tax completely...

    the answer is sales tax.

the more you spend...the more taxes you pay.

if someone buys an 800 dollar HP Laptop they pay a considerable lower ratio of taxes to the dollar than someone who buys a 2200 dollar HP Laptop

Iran, Iraq, Al Qaeda, North Korea, the Taliban, etc etc ... we're supposed to try to sit down at a table and negotiate with.

But Bush, we want to rip out his jugular.

I actually haven't thought much about this, but I do have a serious question about the sales tax plan:

It's probably all well and good while the economy is good and consumers are consuming. But wouldn't it be doubly devastating when the economy goes south? Not only would consumers not consume, it would deprive the government of funds to help folks out.

It's freaky man...the media has fucked up some peoples heads really good.

It's a phenomenon...it's simian in nature....give em a club make em hairer, go back 1 million years and voila...perfect match...hehe

I don't know what it 's going to take. (I do, actually). The media is the water and peoples heads are like sponges. Some sponges hold more water and can't be wrung out to dry as easily on command if you know what I mean ;)

ive thought about this too...but i think the result of this being the way we gather taxes will result in more fair competition...lower class and middle class citizens in a balanced economy will do what they have always done...look for value.. while the rich who in this country are rich will continue to spend ridiculous amounts of money for things they dont really need....and if they stop doing this....than those products wont exist.... and fidel castro will become increasingly suspicious why an economy is on the rise and people all make different wages.
  • No he doesn't need help. You are terribly disrespectful, and it is obvious that you are an angry, hate-filled person who would be miserably with a great president or bad president. I am sorry you are so angry and immature.

If you think it is obvious that I am hate filled person based on me saying, "FUCK YOU"... then you are truly stupid. The fact that you can't see why I'd be so irreverent when speaking about our President or anyone who supports him makes you a bit of a tool.

So, to sum it up... fuck you.

    No.

We don't need to "negotiate" with these countries. We need to stop bombing them. We are breeding terrorism by killing countless innocent civilians, or creating collateral damage as we call it...

You see, invading these countries isn't good for you and me... because we pay for it, with our tax dollars, and the lives of our children... but those who benefit are the already powerful and wealthy wage war for no other reason that to advance imperialism and control regions with valuable resources... thus controlling the resources.

As for Bush... He has committed for more horrendous crimes than Saddam Hussein ever did. What is worse, is that he would never admit it. At least Saddam never pretended to be a saint... He should be hanging right now too... Furthermore, blood is on the hands of the entire congress... there are few whom are innocent now. They all should be removed from office, that is for certain.

Before I die, the people will incite such revolutionary ideas... No longer will wealthy people dictate... anything.
