Does anyone else wish Nancy Pelosi would reach over and rip Cheney's throat out, and then run up to Bush and bite him in the jugular?

That would make an hour of this bullshit almost worth it.

Fuck this liar... he does it with such confidence... and the Democrats compliantly take it up the ass.

We need to start running for office ourselves as real Americans, and we need to act irreverently, with much disrespect and dissent.

I would be booing and giving the finger to the President if I were a Senator up there right now...

Random thoughts which all come down to this-

"You can't fix a problem with the kind of thinking that started the problem." - Albert Einstein

So... You can have your petty election... but those people you are voting for are using the same thinking that started the problem...

It's time for a township rebellion.

    A. Fuck you.

    B. This isn't about a speech, it is about the constant lies that are coming out of his mouth. If I were judging his ability to make a speech, I'd say this is the best I've ever seen him. He hasn't mispronounced a word yet.

    C. You need help if you can't understand where I am coming from.

    a. "We are protecting countries from Cuba..."

Cuba is not a threat to our country, nor has it been for quite some time. In fact, we should end our embargos on them.

    b. He said he wants to make the tax cut permanent, and that he will veto any other proposal.

    c. "America is a force of hope in the world because of our compassion for people."

    LMFAO

    d. All of the rich people keep standing up and clapping for this asshole.

    e. isn't this really a red tie day, George?

    f. He just threatened Iran again... a country that is no threat to us... a country that, if we bomb, will lose any hope they have of creating a democracy on their own.

    g. need i go on?

anyone wanna take a stab at why the housing market is tanking and why he cant seem to talk about it?

    also...

how is he expecting to fund all these research projects and education programs if at the same time he is talking about cutting taxes and while he continues to cut education programs and the college cost for tuition is rising.

    it just makes no sense

I can't believe our government is still considering Cuba a threat. This hard on our government has over Cuba is extremely pathetic.

and why the fuck...for the first 20 minutes of this speech did he talk like we are slaves to our own government...this is crazy... you are not slaves...paying taxes that circulate in an economy and create a foundation for extreme continuing wealth and prestige in this world is not a mask for slavery... open your eyes people

he is trying to convince us that we are on the island of cuba... that we are the ones left at the ''research facilities'' in chernobyl... that its us who are the black stains on the wall in hiroshima and nagazaki... that it is us in the middle of a religious war in the middle east...

please excuse my hometown...for our insignificance

Iran funds militia groups against our troops, the fund terrorist groups in palastine and lebanon. they are not 100% honest about their nuke program. give virtually no freedoms to its people.

you seem to leave out the part where he tried to reach out to the people of Iran. he, as well as most americans, respect the people. its the dictators at the top are the problem.

real language and feelings apparently scare some that read this message board.... this feeling is the result of a closed mind and a seemingly non-existence amongst those who see clearly...are accepting and give a fuck about people rather than a president who needs to make a grand entrance at the 1 speech he givves every year... what a joke.

jlew the problem with the tax cuts is that our government keeps spending like a spoiled rich kid with his/her daddy's credit card. If this trend is going to continue, which you and I know it most likely will, how are we going to pay for all this spending. Second Iran may be funding a lot of the enemy elements in Iraq but the majority of foreign fighters and a lot of the financing of Sunni insuregents is coming from Saudi Arabia. How come this administration never mentions them. How come Bush and co. always mention Iran but not one word is mentioned about Sausi Arabia's involvement.

Our own intelligence community has stated that Iran is no longer pursuing a nuclear weapons program. Sowhy are we still harping on Iran and why is he even mentioning Cuba. Could it be that a year ago a huge oil deposit was found off the northern coast of Cuba in the Northern Cuban Basin.

    it just makes no sense

Reagan decreased taxes and tax revenues went up. Tax cuts spur investment, which will then spur the economy. The economy grows, which means tax revenues grow. Hurting small businesses by raising their taxes will not cause them to employ more people, so it makes sense to make the tax cuts permanent. I have a few tax clients who have already getting ready for the day a Democratic comes into office and does not renew the tax cuts.

The problem is SPENDING. Not tax cuts. The U.S. has one of the highest, if not the highest corporate tax rates in the world. That's right, your Do-No-Wrong Europe does not have tax rates as high as the US. Bush sucked at curbing spending, but taxes is not the problem. It is bailing out people with money that can't help them. You can't teach children without quality parents, no matter how much money you throw at the children. Computers and books won't make them care.

The scary thing is that there is as much an agenda with Bush and Iran as their is with the intelligence community and Iran. I don't know who to believe. I probably don't believe either of them.
  • jlew24asu wrote:

It is a problem because there are programs that need more funding. The tax cuts are going to the wealthy, and the money that we as middle class Americans are getting back DOES NOT work, as far as stimulating the economy goes. It has proven not to work by the last 7 years of Bush's presidency... The economy has gotten progressively worse because of such policies... and by the economy, I mean you and me being able to afford to live.

    A. Saying Iran funds militia groups against our troops is like saying The United States promotes pedophilia because there are pedophiles in the country.

    B. The Palestinians are NOT terrorists! They are fighting for land THAT BELONGS TO THEM! Land that was progressively taken away from them over time after the Nazi's invaded and a bunch of Fundi Christians decided that the Jews needed to go back to their "promised land".

    C. You, or anyone else has NO proof about their nuke program. The president of Iran has no such power, and although he has made wild claims, he can NOT wage war OR authorize the creation of nuclear weapons. He doesn't have the same power our president does.

If we want other countries to end their nuclear programs, maybe we should first.

    D. The people are in a fight for a democracy of their own, and have a great chance in winning. If we bomb them into a third world country status, the only people with any power will be the corrupt militia men you speak of. (This is what happened in Afghanistan)...

George Bush doesn't respect anybody who can't afford his tastes. If you believe otherwise, you truly are a fool. The "dictators at the top" are old hat, and are slowly being whittled away by the youth of the country who are rebelling and demanding better. The U.S. BLOWING THE SHIT OUT OF THEM IS NOT THE ANSWER!

this is why i like Mike Gravels plan.. you can eliminate the income tax completely...

    the answer is sales tax.

the more you spend...the more taxes you pay.

off topic bbut i saw a cop here in the orlando area today riding up a major road taking down ron paul signs.... at the next intersection there are no signs of any other candidates.... so i was ok with it...thats cool they dont allow any advertisement here...than i looked up and saw a gigantic Republican Radio Station... thought this was funny since ron paul is about as far away from a republican while running as a republican you can get...and you know that talk shows got nothing about him :)

and there was a huge rudy sign across the street

Let me see if I have the official left-wing position down:

Iran, Iraq, Al Qaeda, North Korea, the Taliban, etc etc ... we're supposed to try to sit down at a table and negotiate with.

But Bush, we want to rip out his jugular.
