Thanks for that history lesson. Although i find it odd that you seem to assume that I am, or ever was, a fan of Clinton.

All I did was dedicate the quotes to you. Who cares who you are or aren't a fan of. You and Anihmus should stop assuming folks are assuming things about the two of you.

  • well what ever it was, it certainly wasn't how to successfully execute a war.

Are you speaking of the Vietnam war?

Well never be able to get away from the Vietnam thing, no matter how far removed it is. Thats all they had on us until now. Before Nam, all we did was win wars and deliver Freedom...So were not perfect...

Another 5 years and there wouldn't have been any breathing North Vietnamese left to fight.

This is exactly why we don't listen to the UN anymore. Thanks for making an example of yourself cate!

Why is North Korea never blamed for invading the South? Let alone the fact that the Soviets supported and pushed for it. American soldiers were actually withdrawn from the country in 1949. That's right, withdrawn. This is the only reason the North Koreans had the balls to invade in the first place. Then, as usual, the UN passed a meaningless resolution that it was incapable of enforcing. Who then does the UN run to when it's incapable of enforcing one of it's resolutions that was approved of unanimously? That's right... the biggest, vile bully in the world, the United States.

All this said, we were trying to protect an ally. Which, by the lines I see drawn today, we did. So, how did "we" do in Korea? Ask the UN.

We towed the line in Korea and lost 33,000 lives. We are not appreciated. We should have left you all to the Chineese and the Russians...

I was going to say Rabaul. The Japs kicked your ass pretty soundly there.

oh please. the north was trying to reunite their country after it was arbitrarily divided between the soviets and the americans after WWII.
and yes the US did withdraw their occuping forces, as did the russians but both sides continued to provide arms to their resepective sides.
after the 1950 elections in the South, even the new assembly was presssing for reunification.

Speaking of countries getting involved in "other countries business."

400,000 Chinese were KIA in that conflict. No one likes to bitch about that aspect of the war.

lol Cate enjoys taking credit for the unconditional surrenders. Otherwise, her government is just a bunch of mindless, conservative idiots who should have never been involved.
