Wait, Commy...You voted for Obama because Nader has no chance of winning and Obama is less evil.....?
You gave up, if someone like you can give up, I have lost faith in the rest of America.
No matter how hard something gets, you must stay true to what you believe in, and i know you don't really believe in Obama being the best choice.0 -
I have faced it... A vote wasted...
I will never vote that way again.0 -
Take a look at how many states are close:

In the majority of states, we already know who is going to win. So as long as your state isn't close, why would you vote for the "least worst"?
Instead, vote for whoever is the most appealing to you. With each vote that a third party gets, people will begin to realize that third parties are not jokes . This would lead more people to vote for them and would also cause the main stream candidates to try and appeal to these voters."Don't lose your inner heat...ever" - EV 5/13/060 -

yeah I'm not sure what happened. I have an idea....pharmecuetical companies are evil imo.
fuck man, in Seattle we used to change billboards. 2 months after 9/11 this business owner put up a huge sign saying "God Bless America". We painted the 'b' white to make it read 'Godless America'. He painted it back the next day. So, the next night we came back with a saw and cut the 'b' out. He took the sign down a few weeks later. that's one example, we did shit like that all the time. public protest. it matters...people see that shit, and realize there are people out there that don't accept things as they are. and we did that all the time.
and now here I am voting for a corporate candidate.
here's the thing though, and I believe this to be true. Policy in Washington affects over 150 countries around the world. well over. directly. small changes have a huge impact on the lives of hundreds of millions of people. we unleashed Bush on the world, 2 of them. that's almost unforgivable. I can't imagine giving them a McCain. Its hard to give them Obama (he said "all options are on the table" regarding Iran-does that mean Nukes too?) but at least I believe him to be a better choice than McCain.0 -

you people do not know who is running for your town council, alderman, state senate, county seats, congress, etc... yet you'll lecture to me that a nader vote will hurt people worldwide (assuming it ruins obama). why don't you look up the people who will actually make a difference in your lives instead of voting obama and thinking he'll solve the worlds problems. or better yet go out and make a difference yourself.0

thecory wrote:how so? local politicians have a far greater impact on their constituents lives than most national politicians. Obama or mccain, the difference is negligible. but a wasted vote is not researching the elected officials that will have a big impact on your local communities."The opposite of a fact is falsehood, but the opposite of one profound truth may very well be another profound truth." ~ Niels Bohr

you know what- my main concern with this election is with all of these people, especially young people, who put all of there idealistic hopes into obama because whether or not obama or bush or mike is president , the only people who can do 98% of this "change" are the ordinary no names. people need to get out and do shit themselves and if they leave it up to the president than this country will be thoroughly disappointed.0
