But you are afraid of the US government and have linked Bush with terrorism. Therefore, are your fears any different than the fears of Americans? You fear another country's government and so do the Americans. You fear the US for actions taken not against Canada but other countries and Americans fear actions taken by other countries that may or may not be a direct threat to the US or it's allies. As you said yourself the US is not an imminent threat to Canada but it may attack Canada in 100 years, this is the same thinking of Bush with his war on terrorism - some day we may be attacked so something needs to be done now. That being said, I never supported Bush, the Iraq war or the war on terrorism so I'm not a Bushie at all, however, it seems we're all being fed with fear of some type or another.

Yes I am an American and I assume you're referring to 9/11. I think we should have put our all into capturing/killing the ones that were responsible for the attacks on 9/11 and not go off into other directions. When Japan attacked us in 1941 we focus on Japan and then when Germany attacked one of our ships we focus on them as well. We didn't attack other countries or groups of people because they may attack us one day. We focused on the ones that did and that's what brought the American people as well as the allies together to defeat our enemies in WWII. Let me ask you this, if Russia bombed the US what would we do? We'd bomb Russia. We wouldn't bomb another country like China because they COULD and MAY bomb us someday. Do we put people in jail because they MAY commit a crime someday?

thats why I asked you specifically why you are against the war on terror. I agree with you 100% we should have not gone to Iraq until the taliban, el queda, and osama were completely gone off this planet. I asked you a very specific question. you said you were against the war on terror. I asked why.

Harper will soon take care of the artic region (he said he would and so far he did what he said he'd do), we should not take part in this missile defense crap simply cause it doesn't work and cost an awful lot of money just for paranoiac reason. Secure the borders against unwanted intrusion, but if a country want to attack us with a missile, there's nothing we can do about it, other than fighting back.

USA can't invade Canada, something called the UN is now in place and wasn't in the 1800, USA invading Canada would then turn the French, England, Russia, Germany, Iran, North Korea, China, Japan, Australia, Brazil...... etc. against the USA, not in any country's interest.

I don't fear the U.S. government and I'm not suggesting a pre-emptive strike. I'm simply saying that we need to remain autonomous and take caution about the NAU.

The pre-emptive strike tactic is a sign of fear. If you weren't afraid. Your country could just chill out.
