Former Presidents should not be making speaches making shit up and creating an atmosphere that divides democrats. The Clintons need to get the fuck out of the way if they truly believe in change. In reality they dont...
so what part of 92-2000 didnt you like?

See my post a few spaces back... and I'm an independent liberal, by the way. Please cite what Bill Clinton did that was so positive for the American economy. Links, if you would. NAFTA fucked over a lot of American workers.

Let's consider what else transpired during his presidency:

We endured two terrorist attacks that went unsolved (Khobar Towers and the Cole bombing).

He didn't go after bin Laden beacuse he was mired in the Lewinsky scandal.

He denigrated the office of the presidency with his adultery, lied to the American people, ended up being one of the culprits who cost American taxpayers money (along with the hell-bent Republicans who despised him) and cost our country face. Think of how much differently it would've turned out had he simply been forthright and told the truth before rather than after. The finger-wagging episode while spouting "I did not have sex with that woman" in the faces of every American plugged into the television disgusts me to this day and I'm reminded of it every time he wags his dick-grabbers while campaigning for his bitch of a wife.

Research John Huang and other Chinese who had ties to Bill Clinton and eventually were busted for illegal campiagn contributions.

Check out the Mena connection while he was governor of Arkansas.

He basically was pushed by Hillary into nominating Janet Reno (also Chelsea's biological father) for AG at the behest of his wife; he also appointed another colleague (Webster Hubbell) of Hillary's from Rose Law Firm who got canned within a year and was subsequently indicted for crimes committed which includied stealing from his previous employer. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9F06E5DB1330F935A35756C0A961958260

    Whitewater???

So please tell me, what did Bill Clinton do that was so good for America?

First off, I know as much about economics as Chris Rock, so I'm not going to get into a debate with anyone about the intricities of economic policy. But I will say this. I lived in Germany in '92-'94. In September of '02, the value of the dollar vs. the mark was at it lowest point ever. The day Bill Clinton was elected, the day, the value jumped about 15% - 20% and there was no looking back. What does that mean to me? The world wanted to do business with an America led by a competent, open minded president. I guarantee you if a Democrat wins the election (even Hillary) you'll see a similar reaction. It's funny, Republicans pride themselves on being fiscally conservative and the "money" folks, but since Reagan was elected, the only period of financial prosperity for all Americans, as much as could be possible for all Americans, was the 90's.

And for the life of me I can't understand how so many people can apparantly still be more upset about Clinton lying about having an affair than Bush & Co. lying to us 3,000 times about a war.

Oh, I almost forgot, I'm no fan of NAFTA, but that was Bill's conservative side. He really wasn't a lib, you know. I'm sure most Repubs were behind NAFTA. They may have pretended they weren't because Bill supported it, but they were behind it.

Look, bill's administration is VERY overrated. Really, what was so great about it. All the scandals? The perjury and evidence tampering? The subsequent impeachment? Even he economy seemed to boom IN SPITE of bill more than BECAUSE of bill. Most expert economists are quick to point out that economic trends are quite cyclical and bill was merely a beneficiary of an economic high tide. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Overated indeed. Not to mention his sleaze, lies, scandal and contempt seriously tainted the image of the government and of America in general. We have had 20 solid years of shame embarrasment, folks. bill is very much a part of that.

    .

In all due respect, this is a ridiculous argument. Some participating in this thread seem very inspired to point to bush as a justification for bill clinton. That is absolutey an absurdist position to take. Who says i, or anyone else is "more upset" about clinton's lying than george bush's lying? Bush is a lying, idiotic mumblemouth fuck, to be sure. No one has argued that. But to slap a "When clinton lied nobody died" bumper sticker on your car and scream about how great bill was in comparison to bush, and then vote to stick those sleazy, corrupt fuckers back in office is absolutely inasane to me. i just don't understand that reasoning. Most people, those with clear vision, are sick and fucking tired of sleazy ass liars. Period. Be it clinton, or be it bush. bush and his policies have been awful indeed. No one is arguing that. Nominate hillary and bill clinton, however, and you can count on not only those policies continuing for the next four years, but for A LOT longer than that as the republican candidate that handedly defeats clinton in the general election will not only continue those policies, but make them permanent.

    Are you effing kidding me!

    http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/01/25/clinton-i-have-to-defend-myself/

Defend herself!? its very clear to anyone paying attention theat the clintons started this mess. Obama was not only baited into defending himself, he was forced to. Now hillary gets to whine and play the victim?! i can't believe anyone is buying her shit! It comes as absolutely no surprisre to me that most exit polling suggests that her largest voting block is the less edcated democratic base. She is pandering to the dumbest of our electorate and it is paying off. Absolutely nauseating.

I don't compare Clinton's lies to Bush's war and I agree wholeheartedly that a blowjob and unjustified war don't warrant comparison. I think Billy was a far better president than Bush but I don't think he's that goddamned special.

I'd like to know why people think Bill was such a good president.
