random in the sense a ticket purchaser/holder would have no way of knowing where his/her seats would be located. since it's impossible to predict the order of last names on the list, your spot on the list is very much left to luck

That's still not, technically, random. If my last name begins with an R, I do not have the same statistical chance of getting the best two seats. This means its not random.

Does anyone have any idea about what seats they allocated for the presale.

second shows for vancouver, berkley and san diego went on sale shortly after the ticketmaster tix went on sale.....10c didn't offer any tix to these added shows.....

...got EV tix for San Diego while visiting Seattle (hometown). let my 10c membership go awhile back, after they couldn't find my old number and i didn't want to start over. so i was getting shut out online, "all circuits are busy now" on the Seattle ticketbastard line, then at 10:03 or so somehow got through on San Diego ticketbastard. went through the automated system... "EDDIE VEDDER"... and lo and behold! tickets held!! then 5 minutes of agony while processing the order through a robot voice, CC#, address, etc etc, enunciating everything VERY clearly, dreading the potential dropped call on my cell phone... and then, it was over. called back the next day with my confirmation number and found out i was in balcony Row D on the side, Spreckels only holds 1200 or whatever though so i'm very stoked and very lucky. sorry to everyone who got shut out. i would've felt sick. not sure how i ended up with 4/15 after they added a second show, maybe i got tickets that someone else dropped when they didn't complete their transaction.
but wow, $81 a pop for solo Ed? guess he priced it correctly though if the suckers are going for 6 bills on ebay. hoping for some surprises at that price. not expecting more than a PJ song or two at best, but a Matt or McFuckingCready cameo would be most welcome. i would guess a mostly acoustic show made up of the Into the Wild soundtrack, a couple of covers, maybe a PJ song or two for the encore...

Around the same average price I payed for my plane tickets, roundtrip. 400 bucks CDN. From Halifax to Los Angeles. I did the Air Canada jam.
