All bullshit aside, that "child's" life isn't any less precious. But we're not talking about measuring people up in a vacuum; we're talking about lives and people whose job it is to save them. A law enforcement officer runs the risk of getting killed protecting the innocent. A firefighter runs the risk of burning to death fighting fires. A rescue worker runs risks as well. I greatly appreciate the work they do. Now if we only had better people calling the shots......
i was a lowly precinct committeeman and had no authority for anything. i shouldn't have been on the chopper. but while people were rushing in to rescue people; i brought up a good point. that point brought a slight delay. it had to be considered. rescuers were given chemical suits and things continued.0 -

i understand what you're saying. disasters come on fast and because humans make mistakes; things happen.
you don't want to hear this but a lot of delays in government are because people now are so critical; everything must be thought thru several times. public opinion means too much these days. any politician now a days can expect to be attacked by at least 35% of the populous no matter what decisions they make.0 -

Lol and the media isn't?Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!
The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.0
