i'd love to see any responses other than dropped jaws.
Check out Pax Americana - Do You Get It Yet?
The neo-cons OPENLY ADVOCATE IMPERIALISM ... shit, you fuckers watched the 911 hit piece last night?
ONE OF THOSE ASSHOLES EXPLICITLY STATED IT AS CORRECT THAT THEY VIEWED OUR ROLE AS ONE OF AN EMPIRE!
They don't even hide it ... oh, ... UNLESS THEY ARE ADDRESSING THE PUBLIC - witness the 2004 State Of The Union, where Bush reassures
"the United States has no right, no desire, and no intention to impose our form of government on anyone else. That is one of the main differences between us and our enemies. They seek to impose and expand an Empire of opression..."
WHO IS RUNNING THE EMPIRE OF OPRESSION YOU TWAT?

It's very long though, but this guy definitely isn't making it all up....definitely not all of it.
It gets off to a bit of a slow start unfortunately.

I'm saying when they're spread out like they were (and are) it takes a lot longer to pull them in. When idiots are at the top, even longer still - and I'm not talking about Bush and Cheney, but the people they appointed. Aloofness, arrogance and idiocy goes a long way when combined.
I think that's too simple a scenario. I think it goes deeper and more complicated than that. It's not all face value what it going on.

witness: i no longer necessarily support the notion that explosives were used to take down the trade towers (1,2, or 7) OR that a missle hit the pentagon ...

I once again would direct attention to this, and ask why no one on the board feels compelled to talk about these issues.
You don't think it's important that every administration official of any importance is caught on tape lying about what they did or didn't know? Condoleeza in front of the congressional committee flat out purging herself?
WATCH THIS, AND RESPOND
What is the significance of that?
There is no implication of a deeper lie.
They can't even admit that they knew ...
why not?
Because they not only LET it happen,
they ENSURED it happened.
And then they acted swiftly and deliberately in response ... straight after the oil, and after strategic positioning for war with Iran, and then later China and Russia (just you wait, people, just you wait).
"The problem is that the good Lord didn't see fit to always put oil and gas resources where there are democratic governments."

"Iraq possesses huge reserves of oil and gas - reserves I'd love Chevron to have access to." - Kenneth T. Der, CEO, Chevron, 1998 [Condoleeza was on the Chevron BOARD OF DIRECTORS until the day before she accepted nomination in bush's cabinet - Press Release Saying So From Chevron Itself ]
"WE hope Iraq will be the first dominio and that Libya and Iran will follow. We don't like being kept out of markets becaus it gives our competitors an unfair advantage." -- John Gibson, CEO, HALLIBURTON ESG, 2003
[all quotes pulled merely from chapter headings of the excellent book: The Bush Agenda ]
"The Bush administration itself represents the first time in history that the president, vice president, and secretary of state are all former energy company officials. In fact, the only other US president to come from the oil and gas industry was Bush's father. - The Bush Agenda - Page 6 Para 1 ]
Do you not see CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND CRAZY RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE AT THIS POINT?
They were going in to Iraq goddamnit.
They just needed SOMETHING, ANYTHING to give them an excuse ... Well they got ther "new pearl harbor" alright.
hi drifting. you make some good points but again there's information missing. i've heard a lot about this "stand down" order but i have to conclude that it was a no win situation. imagine the noon news on 9/11 if the headlines were BUSH ORDERS 4 PASSENGER AIRLINERS SHOT DOWN. he would have been on trial for murder in no time. no matter what information or intelligence he had.
as far as what was known; this is america and we can't arrest people for what someone thinks they MIGHT do. for example; if you drive; you will commit a traffic violation. everyone does because there are so many traffic laws that contradict eachother. so knowing you will commit a violation; should your license be revoked based on that knowledge? terrorists attacks have been going on for at least 20 years. let's look at the plane bombing over scottland. the entire plane was reassembled; the type of bomb; where it was hidden; and the person in germany that planted the bomb was discovered. we are that advanced. for the implosion theorists; show some evidence. miles of detonation wire is used to implode a building yet not even an inch of it was found. that theory holds as much water as the ufo theory.
anyone can make claims but without real evidence they mean nothing. doctored pictures are not evidence. if you're basing theories on that you may as well believe ghostbusters is real too.0 -
onelongsong wrote:hi drifting. you make some good points but again there's information missing.
i didn't make ANY claims about a stand down order. I DID say that SOMEONE deliberately tried [and successfully did] confuse our air defenses by running wargames involvin planes crashing in to buildings at the same time and on the same day that planes actually did crash in to buildings ... does this poor pilot sound a bit confused?
You tell me.
I also said NOTHING about buildings exploding, except that i DID NOT believe that was the case. Thus i need to prove nothing about wires or such being found.
I firmly believe that the government KNEW this was going to happen, that they let\MADE it happen, that they backed the FBI off the case, that they ran war games to confuse air control, and that generally they had every motive in the world to want to do this, and did do it.If I was to smile and I held out my hand

drifting. why do you only use alex jones as your source. you only quote his websites. dont you think its a good idea to span out for a different point of view??
there is a reason why many people go to different doctors. a second opinion is good.0 -

Jeez JLEW why don't you actually read anything i post?
Post 81 has 4 our more sources cited, several from a book (imagine that, i actually bought a book and am reading it!) with citations itself, one from a company website that i independently found and cited for you, and one from a internet video of a congressional hearing (that i bet you never watched) ... i bet you are referring to post 88 though ... which starts with a YAHOO\AP news source and ends with a piece of video that is linked from an Alex Jones website of audio recorded by the FAA itself.
So sue me if Alex Jones, the publicly acclaimed grand master of conspiracy theory, may just happen to have a readily available links to ... gasp ... large piles of conspiracy theory information ...
i typed in "real world or excercise" and his was the first website i found with the audio clip i needed ... what the fuck do you want from me ....
i cite plenty of sources all the fucking time.
you CONSISTENTLY REFUSE TO READ ANYTHING that i write, and HAVE TO DATE not responded to shit.
you still haven't, you still won't. and i think everyone here recognizes that by now.
And once again you have just engaged in what is tantamount to personal attack ("oh man, your sources suck" - even though you are incorrect about your assertion that i only ever use one source) instead of valid argument. If I was to smile and I held out my hand

i only used examples; i didn't say YOU stated anything. and everyone is free to believe what they want. the ufo theory websites have some pictures that prove aliens brought down the wtc. maybe bush is from mars and planned the whole thing. if something can't be proven it's called a theory. you yourself admit these hundreds of theories have not been proven by any scientist or expert in 6 years.
the government KNOWS there will be another attack. why don't you make a list of everyone you want killed to prevent this attack and i'll pass it on.0 -

Clinton was president in the 1980's?
Just because you post something twice doesn't make it more credible. You sit up on your mountain in your isolation and continue to cheat on your taxes. I'll stay here and look my own personal ground zero in the eyes and decide for myself how things went - and how they're going.

thank you for proving my point. after rereading my post; i confirmed that i clearly said I'VE HEARD A LOT ABOUT THE STAND DOWN ORDER. somehow you read it as me saying that YOU stated it.
people only see and hear what they want and dismiss what they don't want to hear or see.0 -

it is true that what is capitalized is what you said and not that you said i said it ... lol ... but what confuses me is why you said that in response to, and under a quotation of me ... like your comment on the stand down order, "i've heard alot about that" ... would be in response to what i said about it ... when in fact, i never mentioned it.
in fact most of what you said in apparent response to my comment had nothing to do with my comment, which is why i was and am confused.
and again we are entering in to a non-issue debate.
and again people like Jlew have still remained silent on any of the information or quotes or citations i have provided which indicate a motive, a means, and the power to deceive.

anyone with a brain can can indicate a motive, means, and power to deceive. wait are we describing you God, Alex?0 -

Now, 1. I never said I could've done better. I'm neither in a position of authority nor am I a trained soldier or rescue worker. 2. I wasn't there because I evacuated.0 -

my best friend is a congressman and i was there surveying the damage with him. because of the sewage and dead bodies (including those burried and floating up) i argued that sending in rescue workers wasn't any different than the military having people lined up to watch a nuclear test and ordering them to run towards the blast after the shock wave passed. yes; the us military did that in the 50's. N. O. was a toxic waste site at that time and i couldn't justify sending our children (guardsmen) into a hazardous site. i agree; people needed to be rescued but why was that childs life less precious then a residents?0 -

All bullshit aside, that "child's" life isn't any less precious. But we're not talking about measuring people up in a vacuum; we're talking about lives and people whose job it is to save them. A law enforcement officer runs the risk of getting killed protecting the innocent. A firefighter runs the risk of burning to death fighting fires. A rescue worker runs risks as well. I greatly appreciate the work they do. Now if we only had better people calling the shots......0 -

that was my fault for not being clearer. i just picked an easy example to show a point. i didn't mean to incinuate that you said it.
i mostly quoted your post because you are one of the more reasonable people here and i enjoy discussing things with you.
sometimes things are exactly as they appear. we've been lied to in the past and we'll be lied to in the future. this is why i understand your views. but i also wanted to point out that the originators of these conspiracy websites also have motive; means; and the power to deceive. i can doctor pictures and i can create a website in about an hour. the government may have an agenda but so do the conspiracy theorists.
that was my point. can we be friends again?0
