    Yeah. So no proof?

    http://www.islamfortoday.com/terrorism.htm

A two second search on google and I already proved you wrong on one point.

    Paleeeease...

You won't see my name in the phonebook, mapquest, nowhere...but you'll find me on google.

you can google find ANYTHING. but I am not wrong, I haven't seen the Editor of this site ANYWHERE but here. Or anyone else of his ilk. Not on CNN, 20/20, Nightline, Charlie Rose, so save me the ONE guy with ONE article on some obscure website.

furthermore, If you go to the homepage of this site, you will find no reference to the article, which means it's buried content. so it's not like the guy is front and center on this.

again, this is all stuff you have to FIND.

You can find tons of stuff on the NAU, the SPP, lots of stuff.
Whatever your interested in, ther's a site for you.

that doesn't mean its a frontline issue. These websites are far from any form of mass-media, which is where these people should be.

    And for Muslims, in particular.

Perhaps these people aren't being given a forum in the mass-media because of the weight of opinion similar to yours? That being that they are evil people hell-bent on invading America? You've just been given proof but you choose to ignore it because it's not on CNN? Interesting. Of course, that just highlights the fact that you aren't willing to be proved wrong, regardless of what evidence is offered to you.

Interesting also that you choose to only accept opinion that is waved in front of your face. God forbid someone has to get off their arse and educate HIMSELF if he wants to understand the world. If you have to go out and FIND it, it doesn't mean shit, right? You sure place a lot of trust in your media to inform you correctly. Let me know how that works out for you.

To all muslims who love democracy, liberty and free-market capitalism, I say welcome home, brother/sister.

I guess these other things are a matter of perception.

Could you be more damn evasive? What purpose do your posts have here? You've said a lot without actually saying anything.

    In case you missed it:

    Conservative America understands the following:

    1. Mosques and private Muslim schools in America are largely funded by Jihadist Muslim institutions in Saudi Arabia. FACT

    2. Over half of all "moderate muslims" believe in some form of Sharia law. FACT

    3. Of those "moderate muslims," NONE have lambasted the Jihadist movement. When the whole "Catholic priests were molesting boys" crisis came up, our citizens were out in MASS protest. Where is the same outcry from the "moderate muslims" about the extremists war on us? Where's the "moderate" leadership? (edit: there are anti-jihad wbsites availiable, however far that fact is from the mass rejection of jihad i'm looking for.)

    4. Islamic lobbying groups are POUNDING our court system with frivolous lawsuits looking for activist judges who will erode our ability to fight Muslim extremists and rob us of our tax dollars in the process. FACT

    straightforward enough for ya?

For more information on this issue, I would suggest a book by Mark Steyn called "America Alone."

    one more thing:

if the editors of these Anit-Islamic websites are indeed part of the Muslim
Leadership, you cannot refute that they are doing a piss-poor job of getting their message out.

Yeah, then you ignore all responses, including those with evidence to counter-argue your points outlined above, with sweeping statements with which you actually made no meaningful points whatsoever.

I fear you lack a basic understanding of both good debate in general and, more specifically, the point of a message board. The purpose is not to outline your particular stance and then refuse to accept anything that dares to contradict it, smugly offering statements like "read this book", as if Mark Steyn is in fact the ultimate authority on all things, rather than an oft-criticised political commentator who, by the very nature of his occupation, serves up opinions, with cleverly constructed spin, as fact in order to disseminate his beliefs.

I would argue that America are doing a piss-poor job in their dealings with muslims. Why should they expect anything different in return?

the point about the websites was aknowledged...

While I am only a working class person, and have only so many hours in a day
to study politics, I do research this and many other topics quite extensively through a wide lense, using as many resources as I can find, challenging arguments on BOTH sides.

In the future i will make notes on what I read, so I can provide you with a bibliography.

I chose to recomend Mark Steyn's book because it is the most concise agument of the problem that I know of. Not because it's my only source of info.

I don't suppose you'd care to elaborate as to how I'm wrong would you? Or perhaps making vague statements and then ducking out is a method of debate you adhere to strongly, offering as it does no risk of being countered?

    Since you asked...

Mark Steyn did not endorse the war. Therefore your premise and conclusions are wrong.

Evidence, please. Saying it's a fact, doesn't make it a fact.
    2. Over half of all "moderate muslims" believe in some form of Sharia law. FACT

What problems do you have with sharia law. What form of sharia law are these muslims supporting? Any data on that?
    3. Of those "moderate muslims," NONE have lambasted the Jihadist movement. When the whole "Catholic priests were molesting boys" crisis came up, our citizens were out in MASS protest. Well, this is still wrong. I'll change it for you:

Of those "moderate muslims," PLENTY have lambasted the Jihadist movement.

The fact that you are not satisfied changes little about the fact that plenty of muslims have been vocal about it.
    THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!

I find it hard to believe that a person who extensively researched both sides can come to the conclusion that there has been no outcry against islamic extremism by the muslims community.

When I offered the first link you called it "obscure", though you should have known that there were countless other Islam organisations against terrorism, that there are many website and articles dealing with the same issues.

So, I don't believe you for a second that you investigated this thoroughly. If you did, than you're sure as hell not presenting your information objectively.

    1. is a well-established fact covered quite extensively through television 'exposees' and independent media.

    2. find out for yourself, me commenting on that would be highly subjective.

    3. read in total, I think the spirit of the statement can not be refuted.

    4. you didnt argue 4, so I'll take that as an agreement.

This is the problem with division. we get caught up in all the minutia, the details, trying to find something to argue at every point.

Study the details, challenge things. then at some point you have to step back, look at the whole picture, and give things the smell test. When we learn to do that we'll be able to get some common ground.
