You cannot compare how an uneducated, simple living, uncultured (by modern standards) human measures up to a main stream human. These tests are designed to measure those of like circumstances. Just because someone is from a throwback environment doesn't make them unintelligent. It merely makes them ignorant to modern society. That has nothing to do with intelligence. How many of you could survive out in the wild on your own? By Aboriginal standards, you would be a complete and utter moron....and die.Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense.

In cantonese the words for numbers are quite small for example. And many languages count in tens, "Ten and 3" for example, instead of "Thirteen" which makes math easier.
So, again, it's clear that cultural differences affect cognitive performance and so does stereotyping and many other aspects of environment. If genetics is involved in variations in cognitive performance, the affect is probably minimal.Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense.

So you're supporting a relative form of intelligence? A cannot add 2+2, B can add 2+2. Both are intelligent if they come from different circumstances? That is impossible unless you wish to completely dissolve the term intelligence.
It seems to me that line of thinking excuses lackluster development in a society. I contend that if you come upon a society that does not have a written language or basic math, that society doesn't have intelligent people in it based on ANY standard. All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.

slavery and the holocaust were on-going events that happened in the not too distant past.
I put less credibility in the historic recording (non-bible) of events from over 2000 years ago.0 -

Maybe where you live. But here, we have fierce NAACP and Black Community Leaders who call companies to court over it all the time. Where I live, anyone can cry racism and be attacked by these groups and the media in a frenzy that will make your head spin.Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense.

Jeez, at least corporatewhore can at least generate some bogus science. Your vague impressions of what "fierce NAACP and Black Community leaders" can do in the most conservative judiciary in ages are questionable to say the least. A newspaper article? A case name? A verdict against an employer? Anything?

Affirmitive action is being abused:

Regarding the US EPA:
Fact 1: The EPA is perhaps the most pro-minority, aggressive advocate of racial preferences and quotas in the federal government. The agency is headed by Carol M. Browner, a Clinton appointee, a feminist, a liberal Democrat, and a dyed in the wool promoter of racial preferences.
Fact 2: According to the Office of Personnel Management, the EPA has actually over-hired blacks to the tune of 179% percent more blacks than in the civilian workforce. Also, according to EPA records, the overall agency work force consists of 29% minorities.
Fact 3: Since 1993 EPA has had in place an aggressive, race-based hiring and promotion policy that has achieved a 115% to 300% increase in minority jobs in the agency, according to the agency’s own statistics.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is a "non-white" scholarship program.
We have the United Negro College Fund, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and the American Indian College Fund but there is no "White" College Fund because that would be racist.
Boeing Corporation spent $1.3 billion on racial quota programs, including $800 million to non-white suppliers which Boeing calls "Supplier Diversity".
A recent directive from Coca Cola to staff via email stated that the company would would set "diversity goals" for the company and hold managers "accountable for meeting them."
During the years (1998 - 2002) Kodak eliminated as many as 20,000 jobs but maintained or increased the representation of minorities and women. Kodak publicly boasts about this accomplishment in their press releases and annual reports.
All the hubbub with Michigan college acceptance based on racial bias last December.

Anyone who can't catch a wild animal, can't tell the difference between poisonous plants or mushrooms and edibles ones... is a moron by aboriginal standards. Being able to add two and two won't save your life, neither will your ability to read and comprehend Shakespeare. You'd laugh at them for being stupid, but you'd be the one starving and freezing to death. Who's the idiot then?

Intelligence includes the ability to LEARN! An intelligent person could learn how to do the aboriginal things you mentioned. They might not be good at it, but they could pick it up in a short time.
Could the aboriginal learn to pick up Shakespeare as quickly? All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.

If Shakespeare was translated into their language, why not?
It takes years to learn their skills, especially if you have no teacher. You only get to eat poisonous berries once, then you die. If you don't learn how to catch food quickly enough, you'd starve. Can you even make a hut ot a home that can withstand wind and rain?
If you want to call our society superior, fine. It's subjective. And then by your standards, they are indeed less intelligent.
I'll say it again, imo, intelligence isn't relative, the standards by which it is measured are.THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!
