Somalia official issues beheading threat.

MOGADISHU, Somalia - Residents of a southern Somalia town who do not pray five times a day will be beheaded, an Islamic courts official said Wednesday, adding the edict will be implemented in three days.

Public places such as shops and tea houses in Bulo Burto, about 124 miles northeast of the capital, Mogadishu, should be closed during prayer time and no one should be on the streets, said Sheik Hussein Barre Rage, the chairman of the town's Islamic court.

Those who do not follow this edict "will definitely be beheaded according to Islamic law," Rage told The Associated Press by phone. "As Muslims, we should practice Islam fully, not in part, and that is what our religion enjoins us to do."

He said that the courts are announcing the edict over loudspeakers in the town.

The Council on American Islamic Relations called the takeover of Somalia by Islamic militants "a positive change."

So when do we invade? I mean we can't have this these militant Islamist running their own country and depriving it's citizens of democracy. I mean this is worse than Iraq. Here we have an actual government that has direct ties to Islamic militants.

oh no, i don't blame america, you imagine stuff, i say that muslim bashing is a trend in america, and you're probably a trendy kids, but they're not to blame for the sharia, it's all in the biased of the general opinions.

It's also funny how you forget to make a difference between the majority of the muslims and those in power trying to push an agendas, in fact you (and everyone who are consistently posting against muslims) sound like the victim blaming muslims for everything, when muslims are indeed the victims of these poor leaders.

You should be defending them, muslims...

edit: but in the end i agree, sharia is bad, so is burka, so is violent resolutions of any conflicts.

Where did this notion come from that Muslim bashing is popular in the US? Sure, there are those that think all Muslims are terrorists, but they are a small minority. It's understood that not all Muslims follow Sharia law. It's not like people in America refuse to acknowledge the facts. We are well aware....

So why is it that people around the world think we hate Mulsims???? And furthermore, take a country like Iran. It is ILLEGAL to be a Christian there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, why in the hell would someone point the finger at America??? You are free to worship Satan here if you so choose. If anybody is bashing religion, it's countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia... give me a break!

That statement takes our governments actions far out of context. In fact, it ignores history all-together.

We went to Somalia in 93' in a purely humanitarian role. We all know why we left, and Republicans are to blame as much as Bill Clinton and the Dems.

America does not have the backing of the world, nor its own population to be the world's police force. When we do choose to act, we are acused of all kinds of atrocities.

The same people who rant about America killing civillians in Afghanistan would be screaming at the top of their lungs if the same thing happened in Darfur or Somalia.

well said. I truly dont understand why people piss cry and moan when america goes to war but pisses cries and moans when we dont.

you are right, we arent a world police force. and Oil had alot to do with us going to war with Iraq. Why? becuase the US depends on oil to function, and so does the world. we need to protect our interests in Oil. as well as trying to fight terrorism.

where is the UN? why is nobody bitching about them? shouldnt they be condemning these crazy fucks in somalia?

There are other ways to intervene beside militarily. The point is that Somalia has been slowly falling into Islamic militant hands and our government hasn't done a single thing about it. Not even a one sentence acknowledgement of the situation over there. I do agree with you that my responsewas over simplifying the situation but I was trying to make a point. If a country offers no reward that can be to our benefit our involvment is minimal to none.

great, then you probably agree that muslims are the victims in these case.

again, i just don't know where it comes from, probably my imagination, hehe. I won't defend Iran, i agree that making christianity illegal is bad, what's your point? Iran leaders are crooked, Iranians wish they could be more free, Iranians are not stupid, someday they'll rebel, but it's not of anyone business to liberate them, unless their leader drops a bomb on them and kill thousands of them, like in Darfur, do you want to talk about Darfur? Oh wait, muslims against muslims, that's ok i guess...

i point finger at america cause the guy who post this thread pointing out how bad muslims religion is because of the Somalian "government", is from the USA (and i'm under the impression that the hats fits you well also, seeing your reaction), but in fact i said that i don't blame america, just saying that it's a trend to bash muslims in general without mentioning that Muslims are indeed the victims of their leaders, that's all.

I removed some exclaimation points to bring this post down to a less annoying size.

Anyway. Minus personally going into Iran and terminating those who support the illegality of Christianity, there's not really much I can do about that country. However, I am capable of making ours a better example to the world. How? Well, I'm glad you asked. I'll do it by pointing out when we - as either a nation or as individuals - do the same damn shit, only watered down and slapped with a different label.

Muslim bashing not popular in America? I'll avoid going through the board and highlighting your various informative tirades and point out Keith Ellison. Dennis Prager made quite a name for himself (and a few bucks making the talk show rounds) saying Ellison doesn't have the right to swear an oath on the Koran. Then, later some white-haired fuckbag of a host whose name I can't remember asked Ellison in an interview "how can we be sure you're not working with the enemy?" And the internets are lousy with jack-offs and dickweeds endorsing (I can't even say "all but" before that) camps for Muslims. Hell, there are paranoid numbskulls who actually believe we - the United States of America - are just one liberal politician away from falling under Sharia law ourselves.

You know, it might not be "American Idol" popular, but there's certainly a trend going on.
